I was there for 7days and took very care of me I was so grateful the nurses were very concerning and they were very helpful THE FIRST DAY I GOT MY ROOM I WENT TO SIT IN THE CHAIR SOMETHING BIT ME ON THE left side of my air when I turned the light off I know that was a bed bug
Thank you for taking excellent care of my relative, admitted to the ortho floor for a broken hip/revision of a previous pinning/rod for a fracture. I wish I'd written down everyone's names so I could thank you all by name! There was one lady, I think she was the nurse manager on the ortho unit and she had two volunteers with her (future medical students) and she was the best! She stopped in to chat with my relative and the volunteers shared their reasons for going into medicine, and that made my relative's day. Really boosted her spirits, thank you! The surgical, nursing staff, nutrition team, and the therapy team were able to get my relative stable enough to go to rehab in about 10 days. Thank you! She did have one night where her care team didn't know how to use the overhead lift equipment, but otherwise everyone was appropriately trained and care was timely. The facility is very clean, easy to navigate, secure, has plenty of free parking, and a fantastic cafeteria. I bought 3 great meals while visiting, loved the salad bar, so well done cafeteria team.
We were very pleased/satisfied with our experience at Skokie Hospital. A relative was there for surgery. The room was nice but the care was outstanding. From the check-in process to the nursing staff, to those in the surgical suite, everything went well. The physical and occupational therapists were attentive and were skilled at their jobs. I really appreciate the caring attitudes of everyone we ran into. I was told the food was very good, something not always that way in hospitals. We also had a few chances to eat in the dining room. While there prices are a bit high, the food there was also good. They also have a beautiful sitting area right off the dining room. Since the weather was good, we sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. And, the post-operative care was very good, too.
EXTREMELY SUBPAR - Horrible inattentive care for possible cardiac issues , no communication, 5 & 1/2 hour wait in ER to no avail - finally walked out never seeing a doctor - RIDICULOUS
terrible service. waiting over 7 hours just to see if I have the flu or covid. stated multiple times that my asthma is not the best and can't even get a breathing treatment or anything. Ashame that this was the closest hospital to the hotel. I'm worried about pneumonia and all ive seen is more people leaving than getting actual help .
I was in excruciating pain, I was having GI Issues& vaginal spasms, it was so bad I could hardly walk , the pain was unbearable for hours, I new I had ate something that upset my GI system and vaginal , I kept informing the Ed Doctor, but they disregarded my symptoms. They treated my symptoms at a UTI ! And I continue being in excruciating pain. Found out I had Salmonella days after And was provided with the correct antibiotics and pain medication which was given by my pcp instead. I would not recommend Skokie Hospital unfortunately! know one should go through unbearable pain for days . It was 10X worse then me having a natural birth !
Thank you to the hospital staff and doctor Ross for helping me during an emergency situation. Your care and dedication made a huge difference, and I'm deeply grateful for your support and expertise.
This hospital has gone down hill pretty significantly. From the moment I walked into the ER for myself, the front desk admissions person was just hanging out with security and not at the desk. Al went on and on about how he hates his job in between patients when he hadn't walked off to the bat. Several other employees just kept coming back and forth having side conversations pretty loudly. When I asked to use the bathroom they let me in the "patient bathroom" beyond the locked doors and the smell was worse than the CTA Red line. The smell of urine was absolutely disgusting. The entire emergency room just felt dirty and disgusting. I waited 4 hours before being taken to the back although it wasn't busy. I waited another 4 hours in the back. I arrived at 8p and was discharged at 4am. Endeavor is not delivering the North Shore experience at all. Recruiting needs some effort. Find quality people or pay a little more to keep your quality employees. They had plenty of staff just not good quality. So it was not due to lack of staff. I haven't been to Evanston lately but this makes me want to find a new "go-to" place when me or my family is ill.
I had a very painful procedure during my third visit to ER in 5 days, but I wanted to give a shoutout to Dr. H and her team. They were caring, compassionate and efficient--characteristics that make a big difference to the patient. Thank you!
I was cared for by this ER in Jan. 2024. I had fallen and dislocated my shoulder. I had waited to receive care for a couple of days due to several simultaneous family tragedies. The wait was very long but it was obvious this was a very busy night. The staff at the desk was very kind and apologetic for the long wait. Every nurse and doctor that I saw were kind, competent and professional. They were able to get my arm back in the appropriate position and were concerned, at all times, about my pain level while doing so. I am very grateful for the wonderful care that I received.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
