I had never had an acupuncture treatment until two years ago, but I have had such good results that I've returned to Solis Acupuncture for a variety of treatments. A knee that went out badly enough I couldn't walk on it for a moment, an upper arm injury that prevented me from raising my right arm vertically, a problem with one of my ears -- all of them healed with treatment from Solis Acupuncture. I have been going to Ausra for several years. She is a gentle spirit with a generous heart and works with high integrity and compassion. She has helped me with numerous issues across the years (e.g. insomnia, back pain, headaches, shoulder injury, reducing swelling in a fractured foot, plantar fascitis, etc.). On a previous occasion, my physician had highly recommended Ausra as the person to go to if I ever considered trying acupuncture, so when my mother came to visit and I saw how bothered she was by her hand tremors, I contacted Ausra to discuss whether acupuncture would be a good option for her. I told her my mother was not diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and she was not taking any medication for hand tremors. Due to life circumstances at that time I had some issues with anxiety but I did not want to take medication, so I decided to see Ausra for acupuncture and energy work. Ausra is a truly gifted Acupuncturest, her blend of using needles and energy work have been a crucial part of my spiritual, mental and emotional healing. I was skeptical about eastern medicine and acupuncture until I met Ausra. I practice martial arts regularly. Consequently, muscle aches or related issues occasionally come up. After having a pain in my groin & upper thigh for quite some time, I decided to give acupuncture a try. Ausra was very welcoming; she listens well and works hard to understand the root cause of the problem. In addition to being excellent at acupuncture and extremely knowledgeable in eastern medicine, she has a solid understanding of the human anatomy from a western medicine perspective. She took her time to explain what may have happened in a language I could understand. During and after the first treatment, I was very much surprised; it was such a soothing and comforting experience. Most of the pain was gone right afterwards. She also follows up to see how you respond to the treatment and provides suggestions regarding the general lifestyle that would help to improve the condition. During the subsequent treatments, she worked on several other issues. I experienced tingling, numbness and muscle weakness on my left hand and arm after some intense boxing sessions. She focused on some spots on my left side (shoulder blade and the arm & wrist area) and I immediately experienced progress. She also applied energy work on me, which, to my surprise, worked like a charm. Before and after each session, she always asks about the progress I experienced in detail and she provides in-depth explanations as to what can potentially be realistically expected. I now regularly receive treatments from her which include both acupuncture and energy work. They are also very useful in relieving stress-related symptoms that often arise due to the nature of my work. After her treatments, I feel like my whole body is revitalized. Ausra is truly an outstanding healer and I am very happy that I receive both acupuncture treatments and energy work from her. She has my highest recommendations.
