List of James Sylora's Reviews
Dr. Sylora did my prostatectomy on March 26. I am extremely happy with the results. Slow for the first couple of weeks and it's been getting better every day. Everyone I have dealt with has been extremely professional and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Sylora for surgery. He did a wonderful job and I couldn't be happier with the results.
I have had nothing but problems with this office. They have terrible communication and are not prepared for appointments. I had a bunch of issues with scheduling my appointments and then they charged me for the wrong office visit (costing me an additional copay) - refused to correct at first but eventually did. I am glad I stayed on top of it. No one in the office returns phone calls (left 3 messages prior to my surgery and did not receive a call back until after my surgery was over). Recently, I had an online visit (over two weeks ago) to review my ultrasound results and he did not have them (ultrasound was done 5 weeks prior). I had to give him the results that showed up in my online chart. He said he'd get the rest of the results and call me back. Still have not heard from them. I asked why would he even call me without having the results. That was the entire point of the call. Every time I think it'll get better it doesn't.
Had to have prostrate surgery and Dr. Sylora was exceptional from start to finish. Surgery was successful and he was easy to talk to and very upfront and helpful. Would highly recommend him and his staff.
Dr. Sylora is a wonderful doctor. He is great at what he does. He is very caring and down to earth. I whole heartily agree you will not find another Urologist that is more caring and at the same time has the skill-set Dr Sylora has. I should know as an OR Nurse for the last 30 years. He is the best!
I was referred to Dr Sylora by another nurse who had worked with him. He is a wonderful doctor. He is down to earth, easy to talk to. I am grateful to be his patient! If you need a very good doctor, take it from a nurse he is the one you need!
I was in Palos hospital after a Aquablation procedure. A blood clot needed to be removed quickly and Dr. Sylora came to the hospital at midnight for an emergency surgery and removed the clot. Thank you so much Dr. Sylora.
Was a patient of Dr Syloris for a few years. He provided me with good medical advice concerning my health issue. His biggest downfall is the manner in which he provided me with his bedside manner, he was not the least bit reassuring or professional to me when it came to helping me with my condition. I will not be returning.
...total ...jerk. This guy's office has been jerking me around for three months now and it still feels like they're making stuff up so they don't have to help me. Don't waste your time with this nimrod. Go somewhere else. Boy, the earfull my primary's gonna get for referring me to this stroke.
i was sent to do a CT scan to a medical facility he owns , one week went by after the scan was completed and Dr. Sylora never bothered to call me and go over the results, i called the office and the help desk told me that he'll be calling me later that day, another week went by and he still hasn't called me. Horrible experience!!! will never go back there ever again.
What Dr. Sylora lacks in people skills & service is more then made up for in his 20 years of experience as a urologist. Bottom-line: I'd rather have a cutting edge Doctor skilled in dealing with bladder cancer, then a well spoken salesman. I'd highly recommend Dr. Sylora! and no I'm not related to him :)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
