I wish I could give less than 1 star for my experience with Dr. Bob Wooten. As a younger man I trusted him with a very sensitive topic and was given every assurance that he could fix the problem with minimal procedures. After spending a small fortune with ZERO results I was callously shipped off to a surgeon, who I now cannot afford, and am still stuck paying an OUTRAGEOUS bill.

very kind
He just does not care about your feelings. When you see a GI doctor, things are often not going great. He doesnt seem to have any empathy whatsoever. His medical treatment is ok but not great as he definitely gave some bad advice to me at one point. No one is perfect, but caring about your patient is easy. That is not his concern and he doesnt even try. I immensely regret not changing doctors years earlier.
I consider dr. ROBERT S WOOTEN not only a doctor, but a friend too, he is so eager to help everybody in misery /health/ , that he brings almost personal touch in your treatment, he is always very concentrated, super attentive to your complaints, always finds a new approach to your treatment, you can see that he follows all new methodics, ways of treatment, appearance of all new drugs in his field, he helps me a lot, really thankful to him for his approach , he is an honest and good doctor
My experience was great, good performance form all staff from the front office to the facility room, procedure went well. It was an excellent experience and they people who work at Gastro One were outstanding. I sincerely appreciate Dr. Wooten and the staff and the facility was very clean and comfortable. Good parking and central location was great.
Like this man. Very straight forward and takes the time to talk with you in plan English.
EXCELLENT
Dr. Wootens nurse is very rude. When asking me to come back to the area where they take your blood pressure etc. she never even said hello or how are you. I just sat down in the chair and she put the monitor around my arm and walked away. As she was walking away she mumbled something and I asked her to repeat herself since she said it with her back turned toward to me I couldnt hear her that well and she came back at me with an attitude. Dr. Wooten is a very knowledgable Dr. but he can stand to take himself down a few notches to the patients level. One time after waiting a while to see him he came into the room while chatting on his cell phone for a couple minutes. Really you couldnt hang up before stepping into the room with me? Then I was rushed the remainder of my time. He also needs to work on his bedside manner. Not a whole lot of options in Memphis for GI Doctors since it seems like Gastro One is the biggest GI practice around and once you switch Doctors in this practice you are basically stuck with that Dr. since other doctors in the practice can decline seeing you if you want to switch. Keep that in mind before deciding on a Dr. in this practice.
He is an excellent doctor

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
