List of Steven M. Mardjetko's Reviews
Wish I could give him a zero star, he was so unprofessional, TERRIBLE bedside manners. He was so rude to me, in front of my husband and didn’t have the decency to shut the patients door, everyone in the hallway hear how he was yelling at me. Didn’t have any sympathy for my pain, and DIDNT do anything for my pain/no surgery. Stay away.
Awful experience. Was rushed through appt because I did not need surgery. Ordered multiple tests and then didn’t review any with my wife and I. He point blank stated he was a surgeon and I can live with the pain. I had to find a pain doctor on my own who gave me an injection in my back which helped tremendously . I was not looking for surgery, just advice from the expert, which apparently he is not. Very abrupt and rude. Don’t waste your time.
the gym class doing walk all year
My 6 year old son recently experienced a very bad arm break after a freak fall in our backyard. Dr. Mardjetko was thankfully able to complete emergency surgery on him in the early morning hour of what I am sure was the end of a long day for his staff. Dr. Mardjetko instantly put me at ease, and was great at explaining the procedure and the risks in terms I could understand. He came himself to get me in the waiting room after the successful surgery. Thankful to have this shining star during a difficult day for my family.
He is a genius!!!!! Saved my back
I have been seeing Dr Mardjectko for almost 20 years. Had 2 spinal fusions in last 10 years. I have seem Doctors for my scoliosis for 55 years and Dr Mardjectko is one of the best. No, he doesn't sit around making small talk, he's too busy for that. He is an excellent diagnostic Dr and Surgeon and has tremendous knowledge and experience. He has taken excellent care of me. You can lower the waiting time by making appointments as early in the day as possible.
I was a patient of his at Shriners. From when i was about 8 months old till about 12 years old. I am now 26, and the operations performed by him saved my life. My spine had a 98 degree curve by time i was 2 years old and i now sit up straight tall and proud. Im now the first in my family with a 4 year college degree and live a very fulfilling life. Im thankful for him.
Was referred by my family physician for disc problem in my low back . He ordered xrays without ever seeing me first . A young doctor/resident examined me ordered xrays and then the doctor came in. He was very rushed and didn't look at my husband and I while he was talking . He even checked his cell phone for messages while I was speaking to him ! Very distracted. Then he wanted to order an MRI except I brought my MRI with me from 4 weeks ago . No communication, ordered therapy even though I told him I just completed physical therapy. Young Office assistant brought me an order with another persons name on it . Needless to say I won't be coming back, very unsettling experience IBJI is not what it used to be
Steve has operated on me decades ago and my back has held up well over a long period. He is a master of his craft.
Long wait to see doctor for a short Period of time that he spends with you. Overrated

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
