List of Jeffrey M. Ksiazek Md's Reviews
For ANY issues that you may be having that are Otolaryngology (Ear/Nose/Throat) related, I could not recommend trying to see Dr. Ksiazek enough - after just one visit with him, I was very impressed. Dr. Ksiazek was very kind, calm, and helped put me at complete ease with my entire visit. (** Quick word: For about 5 weeks, I had been having some continuous, unexplained "burning sensation" around my lower throat/voice box area. When it wasn't subsiding, I naturally became more concerned and then made the awful mistake of trying to diagnose myself "online", which only made matters worse. I was a nervous wreck thinking I had something serious. After seeing several of my own doctors who didn't think it was anything of significant magnitude, they referred me to an ENT. Since the issue STILL wasn't subsiding, my worries weren't either. BY CHANCE, I found a quick appointment with Dr. Ksiazek at his Glen Ellyn office.) The entire experience was wonderful. From the time I signed in, I wasn't sitting in the waiting room but maybe 5 minutes when one of the nurses had called me back. I hadn't even made a dent in filling out the few pieces of paperwork. She was very kind and friendly - walked me back to one of the offices to await the doctor. After taking some quick vitals, the nurse said that Dr, Ksiazek would be right in. I am not exaggerating when I say no more than about 1 minute later, Dr. Ksiazek knocks and walks in and introduces himself. I was shocked (in a good way)! I hadn't even parked my car more than 10 minutes earlier and the nurse hadn't walked out more than 2 minutes ago. Perhaps by coincidence it was a very slow period, but still. As mentioned, I felt completely at ease. Dr. Ksiazek was kind, soft-spoken, and had a calming demeanor. He asked me to explain to him what was going on - and I took a few minutes doing so. I told him that after about 5 weeks, I had just worried myself sick trying to figure out what condition I had, and that it wasn't subsiding. Based on what I must have written when I scheduled the appointment (and perhaps reviewing my previous doctor visit notes and records in the system), it almost seemed Dr. Ksiazek had an idea of what was going on with me, but said he would do a scope of my throat to put me at ease. I had never had one of these before, and Dr. Ksiazek explained what it is, how he would do it, and said it was very quick and painless. The entire scope procedure was not at all uncomfortable, and quick - maybe 45 seconds tops. On a scale of 1-10, discomfort was maybe a 1.5. After I sat for about 5 minutes of having numbing spray put in my nose, Dr. Ksiazek ran a scope thru my nose (no pain, and he talked to me calmly as he did everything) and was able to see my throat. Long story short - I had common laryngeal reflux (similar to acid reflux) which had been happening so often it left me with the continuous burning sensation of my throat. I felt like 5 cinder blocks had been lifted off my shoulders. We also addressed my rare laryngeal spasms (feeling of waking up suddenly and not able to catch a breath) which he felt were also related to the reflux condition. I was prescribed some medicine to try, and Dr. Ksiazek told me to message him and just let him know how things were proceeding several weeks later. I left feeling with a huge sense of calm and relief - and all within about a half hour of walking thru the parking lot (Can't beat that! Again, this may be a unique situation just based on that particular day's schedule). I only wish I could have found Dr. Ksiazek sooner. I highly recommend him for any of your ENT needs or for any situation you may be having (ENT related) which may be of concern to you. You can even make some appointments online! Highly recommended, and I would def see Dr. Ksiazek again or refer my family to him!

Dr K was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and really listened to my concerns and explained things to me well. I’m looking forward to getting something treated he pointed out that I didn’t even realize was limiting me! Definitely recommend him.
I strongly recommend not seeing this physician. He will make you feel rushed/unimportant, he will not listen to how you want your body treated, and at times he does not keep any other personnel in the room while treating a patient. I had a very bad experience with this physician while in a very vulnerable position of getting my inner ear looked at. I presented for a painful ear infection that I was immediately told the pain meant something else. I explained my pain being at an 8 and the urgent care physician explaining it would get more painful and had prescribed tramadol. He didn’t listen. Imagine being in that position in level 8 pain not knowing what is coming next and trusting your physician. Please don’t go to this doctor. I hope this post alerts someone so that they never have to experience what I went through while on his chair.

Been going to Dr. Ksiazek for years he is one of the Best ENTs around
I went in for chronic ear pain, and swollen salivary glands. The 5-second examination revealed there was "nothing wrong with my ears, and my PCP was completely wrong." The Dr. has the bedside manner of a pet rock and acted like he couldn't care less about any of my concerns (making me feel like I was imagining it all). Amazing that this person still has patients.
Dr. Ksiazek did not listen to me. He insisted I had a particular condition I told him I doubted very much it was and why. He proceeded to prescribe various medications and treatments, none of which helped. He then referred me to a specialist for what he said I had. A procedure under anesthesia finally confirmed it was a misdiagnosis.
I entered this office with the concern that I had a swollen lymph node for the last 2 months in my neck. I have been experiencing a decent amount of pain and discomfort in that area and my PCP referred me to an ENT after I saw them. My visit with Doctor K lasted about 3 minutes and I left with more concern than I entered with an absolutely no explanation. He said he didn't think that any of my lymph nodes were swollen at all and that the area that I had been experiencing the pain and discomfort was my jugular vein... He then saw me out leaving me to Google why my jugular would be swollen and painful. Now I'm about 10x more worried than when I entered his office and have no idea what is going on with my health.
I’ve had to bring my daughter here for ear issues. He not only has a sweet demeanor with her, he has always been extremely accommodating with my schedule and making it feel like we were a priority to be seen. For a first-time mom that has been so comforting. I know she has been in good hands with Dr. Ksiazek and appreciate having our concerns met with such patience!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
