Do not let him butcher you!!!! If you really want to know about a surgeon, ask the nurses in the hospital he works at. Nurses will tell you honestly which doctor they would want performing their surgery and which doctors they would not want to even breathe on their chart.

Dr. Vallina ignores his patients after surgery. He may stop in and say hi but he does not assess his patients. He does not address concerns about symptoms. He does not answer questions and is in a hurry to leave the hospital room stating, 'I have to get to a surgery.' He always had to 'leave to get to a surgery' when we would ask him questions. Even the nurses agreed with us that Dr. Vallina does NOT like to be questioned!! He ignored my mothers symptoms and she developed peritonitis and fistulas. The only reason my mom is alive today is because an Infectious Disease doctor took excellent care of my mom and kept her going on antibiotics until a different surgeon took my mom back to surgery. The second surgeon (from a different surgical group) repaired the issues that Dr. Vallina was willing to ignore. The second surgeon said my mom 'would not have lasted a year.' Dr. Vallina doesn't care about the patients, only the surgeries b/c surgeries equal money. More surgery=more $$

I had Bariatric Bypass Surgery by Dr. Vanilla about 2010. Total Success. With God using his hands that operation saved my life. He is the best. Oh yes, I have kept almost all the weight off all these years later. Just pay attention to their instructions. It will. I am 68 years old and still alive and very active. Thank you Dr. Vanilla! Dr. Vallina saved my life! I am no longer diabetic, my blood pressure is great and no more acid reflux! I am no longer on ANY MEDICATIONS!!! I cannot say enough how grateful I am to this man and his team.

Dr. Vallina is a kind, friendly and personable surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. After my gallbladder surgery, he spent considerable time with my husband, who remarked that he was the most friendly and kind doctor he's ever met. His manner helps you feel comfortable to discuss your health concerns openly and without judgement. He takes time to share his wisdom and patient and family experiences so you can relate and feel less anxiety. He is truly wonderful and well-skilled. I had no issues with my recovery because I knew everything I should expect to prepare for.

Dr. Vallina performed an umbilical hernia repair on my son. From the moment he walked in the exam room, until my son was cleared to do martial arts again, Dr. Vallina was 100% focused on my son and ensuring he felt comfortable and cared for. He sat down on the floor to address my son and then addressed all of the questions I had. He took his time and attention with us. The surgery went very well and his recovery was great. Dr. Vallina is a very caring, thorough and attentive surgeon. He is wonderful with kids.

Dr Vallina is an excellent surgeon with a caring bedside manner. I highly recommend him with full confidence in his abilities. He’s performed two surgeries on me and one on my husband with no complications or issues.
