List of Yasir Kazmi's Reviews
We saw Dr. Kazmi with my child who was presented with flu symptoms (high fever, coughing, aches, chills, sore throat, ear pressure, fatigue and loss of appetite). The doctor was told my son had been on alternating doses of medication for the fever. The highest fever was 102.8 at home. Dr. Kazmi lied to us saying they will not swab for Influenza unless the fever is over 103, and the symptoms have been present for 10 or more days. He also claimed that a popular antiviral medication was no longer a recommended treatment unless you were highrisk for pneumonia or elderly/very young. A review of CDC site shows this is all not true. My child was suffering and this doctor refused to test for Influenza or treat it. We went to an immediate care, where they confirmed that the guidelines had NOT changed! They swabbed my child twice who came back positive for both Influenza A and B! Dr. Kazmi disregarded my child and should not be allowed to practice. We have no trust in DMG any more after this.
Great doctor, kind and patient and great bedside manner
As a first time mom, I probably panic about my son's health a little too much, but Dr. Kazmi is always very open to listening and offer his insight based on the most recent research. I truly feel he is knowledgeable and cares so much about his patients. He is amazing with my baby boy and approaches him so gently (i.e. talks to him, plays with him, builds trust)
Dr. Kazmi is very rude and arrogant. My son fell on the playground and experienced terrible pain in his knee. I decided to take him in to see if it was anything serious. Dr. Kazmi basically treated me like I was some insane, over protective freak and that I was making this up. He examined my son for less than 60 seconds, said he was fine and sent us on our way. I suspected a sprain because of the level of pain. Dr. Kazmi was just so arrogant and dismissive, and was just not a good listener at all. I took my so. To urgent care a fes days later when he was still in pain. They were friendly and caring and did a scan and an exam and concluded my son had a sprain. They told us to do RICE,which we did, instead of follwing Kazmi's advice, which was to let my son run loose on the playground and ignore the pain. I would not reccomend him to anyone. I have never had a problem with any doctor in this practice besides him. If he is the only one available, just wait for anyone else, don't waste your time with him. The nurse who followed up with me was also extremely rude and nasty.
Gave us wrong diagnosis that placed our child's life in danger. We almost lost our son because of his carelessness. Instead of making apologies, he was rude to us and showed no regrets. Rush University has good reputation but Dr. Yasir Kazmi is a true dissapointment for RUSH

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
