If you are unvaccinated, you will not have a good experience with this doctor. Spent most of my consultation not talking about my actual issue, but mostly my vaccination status, to which I was not looking for his advice for. I kept trying to redirect the conversation and said “listen I’m young, healthy, and I’ve already had Covid. I’m really not that worried about it” which he muttered another point under his breath “alright but if you get long Covid you’ll have a disability”What really got me was at the end of the appointment, he said “you need to set up your endoscopy, but you’ll have to call because they don’t want to see you because your unvaccinated”This is not there policy. I know that because my mother who is also unvaccinated had an appointment with another doctor in the same office in the same week, who let her set up her endoscopy in the office. So he really was just being manipulative. Nobody else in the office seemed to care about my vaccination status but him. All the girls working there were very sweet and didn’t say a word when they asked about my vaccination status, which is what I would expect since it’s my choice.I ended up getting my endoscopy with him, because I just wanted to get it over with at that point as I had been sick for 3 months already. And didn’t have a problem at the endoscopy appointment, but that’s also probably because he didn’t have a chance to talk to me before I was going under. Again, all the nurses he worked with were very sweet.

Today I visited Dr. Jacobs for the first time. I have been experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort for the last year and was very eager to get some relief. Unfortunately, my first visit will be my last and here is why.He was aware of my vaccination status (unvaccinated) upon walking into the room. I had already felt like he did not care much about the pain I have been going through based on his mannerisms.The screening process felt very rushed and dismissive.Now I was wearing a “controversial” mask that stated “Fauci lies”. And I understand maybe that wasnt the best idea given where I was, but thats irrelevant because I am paying for a service that every human deserves. Whether or not a medical professionial agrees with my opinion, that should not determine the quality of care that I recieve. I kept dismissing his very passive aggressive comments such as “tell that to the people on ventilators at the hospial right now” and “youll go home and give it to your parents” and a few other rude remarks that were clearly an attempt to virtue signal me. I kept calm and tried to redirect back to the reason I was there. I am a young, healthy and active person and given the data doctors have access to, you should understand that a vaccine isn’t necessary for me.I came in to finally meet a specialist who can help with my issues and treat me like a person and not a villian for my medical decisions, but nowadays that seems very hard to come across. My experience was uncomfortable, and unprofessional. Dr Jacobs, you will not be profiting off of my illness. Needless to say, I will never be returning. Maybe next time, keep your opinion to yourself because your profession exists to help people, not belittle them. Piece of advice for the future, dont push your profit driven agenda onto your patients.Thank you for your time today anyways.

I have had five colonoscopies from Dr. Jacobs. They all went very well, the care is exceptional. He spends time explaining things. The practice helps with all paperwork.A recent televisit was as good as I could expect. Great care.
