BEWARE!! This place needs to be restaffed or the doors closed. I drove 25 min to get there at 745pm with my 3yo who had a 103 degree fever. They refused to see her bc the "Doctor had charts and paperwork to finish" before they closed at 8pm. Last time I checked when a business closes at 8 that doesn't mean they stop doing business at 745 so they can leave at 8. If they close at 8 they should see patients until 8, as long as the doors are unlocked! Since I choose that location I didn't have time to drive to another urgent care before they all closed at 8. Had I chosen a different urgent care my sick daughter would have been taken care of. Instead they told me to go to Edwardsville. It is disgusting when you can look at a sick 3yo and scared mom and turn them away bc you want to leave when you should just be closing. These people need to be in a different profession, not the medical field!!

Was able to schedule an appointment quickly. All staff was polite and courteous. We saw Liz, Alexis, and Jessica and they were fantastic with my kids who didn’t feel well.

I usually have good experiences with this location, however, as of recent I don’t have anything good to say. A good friend of mine went here twice within the course of 48 hours. Twice. She was told that her cough, congestion, fever, etc, were essentially nothing and to be treated with OTC medicines. She received a call a couple of hours after leaving from the second visit, when a NP told her she could go to the ER if she wanted but they wouldn’t do anything unless she absolutely could not breathe. As she started to feel worse, she knew something was wrong. That’s when went to the ER and found out she actually had pneumonia. How can an urgent care not even diagnose something like this. Save your time and money. Don’t give this urgent care any of your time. Horrible experience and won’t ever be back or use them.

I'm not someone to bash businesses, but we had such a bad experience at Alton Memorial Convenient Care today. We have had several good experiences in the past, to be clear. My 7 year old woke up crying several times last night because his ear hurt so bad, I had him there when they opened, there were no other patients there yet. The NP that saw him was rude, which made me pretty rude back. She literally walked in, asked how high his fever was last night, said 'well all the swabs were negative' (covid, flu, strep), looked quickly in his ears and throat and asked if I had any questions. I said 'Really? He was up all night crying that his ear hurt.' She said 'oh, which ear?'. I wanted to walk out. I had filled out the paperwork that described everything, and told the nurse before her all about it. She relooked into his left ear after I told her that. Maybe take a breath, ask the patient/mom why they are there, THEN start the examination.... would've avoided a few killer looks from me and bad attitudes all around. Would've also avoided this post.

Staff not compassionate. No one answers phones (called 3 different times from time open to time I went in. Waited on the hold music for a total of an hour all together). Showed up to get seen anyway. They say they aren’t seeing anyone not already on the schedule today. Thought you didn’t need to have an appointment??. (Came in at 10:00 am) I said that would have been something I could have asked and found out over phone if anyone would have answered. Blonde woman got an attitude and said “we’ll we’re short staffed” as if that’s anyone issue but their own. A genuine “I’m sorry” would have gone a long way. Won’t be using their services anymore. I would not recommend.
