List of Galina B. Simkin's Reviews
After waiting weeks to get in to see Dr. Simkin, she was in the room with me no more than three minutes. I did not feel heard at all from her. Terrible “ bedside manners". That was my first time ever seeing her or anyone in her office. Now I am trying to get back into see her and only have a referral to her, and though they have a 24 hour phone call policy, I finally decided to call back after 70 hours, basically only to be told that she is not in the office again until the end of the month.
She was the neurologist for my dad when he had seizures and sepsis in the hospital. She barely acknowledged me as his daughter. She talked over me, would not listen to me at all. All she would say is that he had dementia and get ready to put him in a nursing home. This was the farthest thing from his actually case. He was confused from the sepsis and is back to his highly intelligent, articulate self. I would not recommend her at all and actually called for a second md opinion.
I found Dr. SImkin to be quite capable and caring for the 2 years I saw her. Then suddenly, she became unavailable. She would not respond to my numerous messages left at various numbers. I tried to reach her for over 3 months with no response. I have given up and had to find another doctor. This is unacceptable and terribly unprofessional.
Dr. Simkin is wonderful. We highly recommend her! Our 88yr old mother suffered a second stroke in Feb 2016 and Dr Simkin was reassuring and gave us advise that was inline with our mother's quality of life. Whereas, other MD's were trying to convince us to do 0ver-the-top treatment that wasn't necessary.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
