Jay Bhatt's Online Review Report Card

I only put a one star because it doesn't let me put 0. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone, if their life depended on it. I spoke with him through a virtual clinic for support around ADHD symptoms (not looking for medication, looking for SUPPORT. Although he wouldn't have known that because he never asked). He used his own bias' to throw down my throat. Without even asking me, he said exercising twice a week and eating three meals a day would solve everything. When I told him that I do cardio every day and strength based training 4-5 times a week, he said "oh. Weight training doesn't help the brain functioning" and continued to say exercise is the only solution to all my problems even though I had already told him I'm already doing this: "if it doesn't work, you're doing it wrong." This is extremely damaging for people coming with concerns around mental health. The article of him posted online about being a "bully" and being suspended from his hospital job, couldn't have described my experience any better! This was being bullied for a whole 35 minute phone call. He is VERY sexist "those men you admire, this is what they do. You need to do true work and not guess work" (what men? I don't know, this sentence came out of nowhere). He then went on to say that I need to only focus on my job and when I expressed doing well in my career, he told me I need to do better because life without a job is pointless. He threatened to breech confidentiality when I tried to express how challenging my distractibility has been and although I am fully aware that what I said DOES NOT constitute a breach of confidentiality, he quickly labeled me as "irresponsible", all while continuing to threaten "I may report you to the MTO." I did laugh my way through this phone call as I felt like I was being pranked. I couldn't believe someone in this position could talk to another human the way he did. Sexist, aggressive, threatening, invalidating, controlling, and unprofessional are the only words I would use to describe this man. For the sakes of your own sanity, do not talk to this doctor.

This doctor does not even listen to you and is completely arrogant and rude. Very unprofessional and jumping the approach to diagnosis without even letting you finish. Don't visit this doctor unless you like being treated as an idiot.

Was very rude and unprofessional, dismissive, interrupted me each time I spoke and constantly threatened to hang up on me every time I tried explaining my concerns. Disappointing and embarrassing behaviour from him.

Excellent doctor. Very detail oriented and caring. He reviewed my history and I felt confident in my diagnosis and the path forward. I’m not sure about the reviews on here and whether they are written by actual patients. He has a different style , direct but an old school doctor that takes pride in the care of patients.

I'm a new patient of Dr. Bhatt's, having only moved to Brockville last year. After reading up on him a bit after our GP referred me to him to take over for my cardiologist in Toronto, I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to meet him for my first appointment. What I found was a committed, caring doctor who pulls no punches and speaks his mind - exactly what I like. We had a good chat about my medical history and my current state of health, as well as his approach to treatment, and to my case in particular. I can see how some people would not mesh well with his personality - as I said, he is very blunt and plain-spoken, but I am quite impressed and confident that I am in good hands.

I recently went to see Dr. Bhatt for a broken tooth and must say I was very impressed. The staff at the clinic were kind and friendly. Dr. Bhatt is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me my situation with all my options. I did not feel rushed and I felt like they genuinely cared for my well being. When I made the appointment, Dr. Bhatt told me that if I had any problems sooner than the scheduled date, they would make time for me to come in ASAP. If you live in the Brockville area, do yourself a favor and go and see Dr. Bhatt and his team:)

This doctor takes the time necessary to insure he goes through your file thoroughly, explains in detail, answers all your questions, and insures you understand. He gave me great advice. Treated my wife and I with respect and courtesy, and displayed a great sense of humor. I trust him.

This guy is horrible. He's rude and arrogant and totally disrespectful to woman. I strongly recommend going out of town for treatment of your only other option is him!

Straight shooter that tells it like it is and DOES not sugar coat it...

His license is suspended, until august 8/16 thank the powers that be!
