Anita Pillai's Online Review Report Card

It’s inconceivable that you ALWAYS have to wait 2-3 hours before seeing her. She’s thorough but snapped at me for disagreeing with her assessment of a drug. I worked in the pharmaceutical industry and knew more than her about it. Her dismissive attitude was the deal breaker. There are other good internists. Why doesn’t she book fewer patients in a day? My time is important too. She’s not a god.

Dr Pillai was able to see me last minute and was very, very patient in helping me to understand my issue. She did it with a smile, which was a big plus for me.

I am 74 and Dr Pillai has been my internist for at least 20 years. She is very smart, an excellent diagnostician, very compassionate, and has referred me to the best specialists when necessary. I am very grateful to her.

The best, would not anyone else! Complete trust in her!

I arrived at her office at 10:15 for a 10:30 appointment as a new patient for a yearly physical. I made the appointment months in advance. Finally, at 11:20 I was taken back to a room by her assistant. She took my blood pressure, temperature and went over all of my records and then proceeded to tell me that the doctor probably wouldn't be doing a physical today as she was running behind and there were 2 patients ahead of me????? I waited until 11:45 and still no doctor! I finally went to the front desk and told them I had to leave, especially because I wasn't even going to get my physical. I didn't even get an apology from anyone. They just said, "Okay we will cancel your appointment." I drove quite from a distance to get here as she was recommended to me as a great doctor. I don't know if the Elmhurst system is just trying to force the doctors to see more patients than is possible or what! Totally disgusted with the whole situation.

She is a very good, caring and efficient medical practitioner. We are glad we found her.

As always my visit with Dr. Pillai went very well. I am 76 years old and I never had such an excellent physician as Dr. Pillai. I always highly recommend her to family and friends.

My experience was amazing! I love Dr. Pillai, she makes me feels as if I am family the way she cares for me. She provides tools to help prevent disease. She is compassionate, caring and very knowledgeable. I trust that Dr. Pillai will continue to keep me on the right path to healthy living.

She is a wonderful doctor. Takes time to talk to you and listen to you. My two sons are also her patients and they feel so at ease and comfortable with her. Would recommend her to anyone wanting or needing a physician. So glad she was recommended to me!!
