I am 36 years old and struggled with infertility for 10+ years. I have PCOS and hypothyroidism. After seeing countless fertility doctors, and undergoing many IUI and IVF procedures, I happened to stumble upon Dr Xu’s website and decided to give her office a try. She told me to take 3 months off from infertility treatments. They said within 3 months of seeing them for acupuncture and herbs I’d be pregnant. After only 2 months I was pregnant. Naturally. I cannot thank Dr Xu and Dr Whang enough. I HIGHLY recommend them and their office. They are true healers!

I have had severe back pain for many years. I had gone to several Dr's.,physical therapists, medical programs, and other forms of treatment. It was coming to the time where I was going to have surgery. I decided to try acupuncture, but I didn't think it would help much. I researched acupuncturists and altho it was about an hour away, I decided to try Dr Xu and her team. Dr Xu said I could be helped and recommended acupuncture with acupressure once to twice a week, then once weekly, then as needed. To my delight, the discomfort is almost gone !!!! And the staff are all kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. I've learned some techniques to help with daily discomforts. I've also gotten herbs to make tea and help relieve inflammation. Early in my treatment my beloved dog died and I was treated with such kindness by everyone, I will never forget any of them. I would recommend this wonderful team of professionals to anyone who wants to improve their life.

So impressed with the level of care this clinic offers. Dr. Xu, Dr. Wang and the rest of the staff are so knowledgeable and truly care about their patients. My health and quality of life improved tremendously thanks to the treatments I received at this clinic including a combination of acupuncture, acupressure, herbal teas, etc. I would highly recommend Dr. Xu to anyone looking for more natural ways to address their health issues. I will surely return back in the near future!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I love acupuncture but Dr. Xu, Dr. Wang (who is the best ever) and staff take the knowledge and care to the next level. The attention to detail and skill regarding acute or chronic illness is amazing. I never do reviews but I felt only right making an exception for this review. Physically and mentally I feel so much better when I add this to my routine.

As a massage therapist, I have referred quite a few clients to Midwest Medicine & acupuncture for needs that I could not meet in the treatment for my clients. Dr . Xu and Dan have really helped so many with all kinds of problems . Infertility depression, anxiety, stress I my self see Dr Xu & Dan for acupuncture for a cardiac issue, and over all health and wellness. I truly believe in complementary, Eastern medicine. I highly recommend Dr Xu Ashley is also an internal medicine doctor along practicing oriental medicine the best of both worlds . Staff is wonderful and the Dr really listens. 10+++++++

Dr. Xu is so wonderful and has helped me with issues related to both fertility and pregnancy. She has helped me to get pregnant and also has helped relieve nausea, sciatica, and pressure regarding varicose veins all related to pregnancy. I cannot recommend her enough!

I consulted Dr. Xu with a diagnosis for a severe gluten intolerance that was creating an acne inflammatory response. I was weary from consulting three different dermatologists and an endless parade of antibiotics and topicals. Dr. Xu assessed my whole health situation internally and externally. After a series of Acupuncture sessions and dietary intervention I have had remarkable improvement! Dr. Wang who works with Dr. Xu is also amazing! Every time I have an appointment, Dr. Xu comes in to get an assessment of how I'm feeling. She is very invested in making sure there is continual improvement. I'm so grateful for her knowledge, patience and kindness. I feel like I have a partner in my healing process.

Patients who visit Dr. Xu have the extraordinary benefit of a doctor who is both a licensed U.S. physician from University of Illinois, as well as an MD from Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. In addition to board certification for Acupunture, Herbs and Homeopathy, she holds a PhD from Kyoto University Medical School in Japan. She is very astute at combing the best of western and eastern medical knowledge in her care. I visited Dr. Xu with sleep problems that I've experienced for 15 years and I can't believe the improvement in a couple of short months! In addition, I had a very unusual problem on my tongue that seemed to stump my Northwestern doctors and they were getting ready to do a biopsy. Dr. Xu prescribed and prepared a homeopathic medicine for me and after 6 weeks of uncertainty and pain, it has almost completely resolved in 8 days. I also continued with acupuncture appointments during this same timeframe as a path to healing. I have every confidence I am finally on my way to complete resolution of this issue. It's refreshing to work with a doctor who has such concern for her patients and invested in a positive outcome!

Dr. Xu and her team are wonderful and experts at what they do. I have been seeing them for 4 weeks for shoulder pain and through acupuncture, herbal tea and acupressure, I am 100% back to normal. I highly recommend them for Integrative Holistic Medicine that focuses on whole body healing.
