At first I was apprehensive as Dr. Hermes was replacing my long time Doctor. I found him to be approachable, knowledgeable, supportive and was great reviewing all of my health issues.

I recently switched insurance companies, so I need to find a new primary care provider and selected Dr. Hermes primarily because he was accepting new patients, was close to my workplace and had available appointments that same week. My immediate issue was a torn calf muscle, and his bio referenced experience with sports medicine. When I appeared for my appointment I was immediately taken to an exam room (no waiting at all), seen by an assistant to take down information, and nearly immediately thereafter seen by Dr. Hermes. Honestly, I've never received more comprehensive and engaged attention from any doctor visit (and I was very satisfied with my previous doctor in that regard). He thoroughly examined and evaluated my calf condition, attentively addressed some dermatology concerns and wrote up extensive notes and recommendations for addressing all of them. He gave me referrals for the needed follow-ups with specialists for my 10-year colonoscopy as well as for the other issues I addressed with him. Following the appointment, he sent me an assessment of my labs from the blood draws he sent me out for with recommendations for addressing those that were a little out of range. Quite simply, I've never been more satisfied and impressed with a care provider at any level (with the possible exception of the maternity nurse (same one) when our two daughters were born). Maybe as his practice grows, Dr. Hermes will not have the luxury of spending as much time with patients as he did with me, but even if he spends half the time as he did with me, it will be more than a vast majority of anything I've experienced before.
