She is a Garbage doctor Filled with lies! ZERO INTEGRITY
This dr HASN'T A CLUE! She Guesses And LIES- RUN SHE HAS ZERO INTEGRITY
Worst practice. Stay away from Dr. Iyers and Dr. Valaitis unless you want to end up in ER or be treated rudely. I forgot that Drs had compassion, not this group. Honestly for your own safety I wouldn’t recommend this office. Total misdiagnosis and caused way more issues. Dr. Iyer is not a competent Dr. I’m surprised she’s affiliated with Univ of Chicago. I thought they took the best. Apparently not.
Very competent and sympathetic. Took care of my problem and I'm a new woman.
She explained everything to me and made helpful recommendations. I enjoyed her bedside manners and tmi her exam did not hurt.. which it usually does with others and for me that is a huge plus.
Dr Sandra Valaitis explained in detail type of repair I would need to correct prolapse. I had seen several Drs before feeling confident enough to proceed with Dr Valaitis. Surgery went extremely well, I feel better than I have in years. Thank you to her and the staff at University of Chicago.
I was very impressed with the amount of time the Dr. spent with me discussing my diagnosis and options for treatment. She didn’t jump right into surgery and I never felt uncomfortable or like she was in a hurry to be done with me like so many other Dr. experiences I have had in the past. She listens carefully and takes everything you say under consideration.
Absolutely terrible office. Misdiagnosed, awful trigger point injections and was spoken to like a piece of trash. I would NEVER recommend this Dr or her partner, Dr. Iyer. Dr. Iyer was the absolute worst Dr I have ever been to. Caused unnecessary stress and bleeding. Has a no bedside manner and also does not follow up.
Dr Valaitis is well educated very efficient and capable. I had a double reconstruction procedure for Level 3 pelvic prolapse and everything went extremely well. I still have a few weeks of recovery or I would give 5 stars. For some unknown reason, the medical profession is not proactive enough in diagnosing and treating Pelvic Prolapse; and all that cannot be blamed on the doctors. I saw a Urogynecologist specialist six weeks before my getting to Stage 3 and she diagnosed nothing and did nothing for Pelvic prolapse. I am grateful that Dr. Valaitis got me examined and surgery scheduled in a very short time. I am optimistic that I will recover 100% and if there is a complication, Dr. Valaitis will be able and willing to fix it. I like her partner and her scheduler, Michael, also. Dr. Valaitis may be the best doctor in the area for this type of surgery.
Dr. Valaitis is by far the best gynecologist I have ever seen. She is an excellent surgeon who corrected all of my problems following a horrible hysterectomy that I had in 1999. I woke up screaming during that surgery as the surgeon ripped my ovary out if me! Dr. Valaitis corrected all of my problems that.were created by my previous surgeon. Sandra Valaitis is a superior surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner. She listens carefully to patients. Her nurse that works closely with her is also excellent. Great team, efficient, and supportive!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
