List of Stephanie Bayers's Reviews
Dr. Bayers is the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. She rushed my appointment, did not explain ANYTHING, and then I got charged my copay twice. I also got access to her notes through my PCP and let me just say, she documented way more stuff than she actually did. I will never be returning to her or ASMSC
Dr. Bayers is kind, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. She came up with several options for me that previous dermatologists never even mentioned. The entire staff is nice and the wait time was minimal. I couldn’t have had a better experience!
Dr, Bayer gave me an incision that was 10 TIMES the size of the mole for non-medical reasons. I went to get two moles checked. Dr. Bayers recommended I removed one based on the biopsy. The mole was 5mm. I allowed her to do it and when I took the bandage off the incision was 10 times the size of the mole. When I called to ask her about it she said there was no medical reason for the size but was needed to give me a barley noticeable scar. Well, the scar is horrible and I used mederma and silicone bandages. I spoke with a highly regarded board certified plastic surgeon and she said typically incision are only 3 times the size of the mole (unless there is medical reason) and that I should go back and show Dr. Bayer so she doesn't this it to anyone else. If you want to avoid a unnecessary large scar, go elsewhere.
Not sure what's up with the other review posted here. My experience with Dr. Bayers and her office was the complete opposite. Visited her for some chronic conditions that are bothersome and she came up with multiple new treatments -- some that would be covered by insurance and some that would not -- that my prior dermatologist never even considered. She was extremely knowledgeable and professional in my interactions with her. The office staff has also always been pleasant in my interactions with them. I have and will continue to recommend her to friends and family. She is an excellent doctor.
The incompetence of this office has blown my mind. First and foremost regarding medical knowledge, Dr. Bayer’s offered a laser treatment not covered by insurance for two spots on my face, saying this would lessen the spots but they would never go away. It turns out those two spots were zits that came to head approximately a week later. I popped them at home with no laser costing me out of pocket. In addition to her questionable medical “expertise” The office she works for has overcharged me, continued to bill me (obvious mistakes such as doubled up co-pay for the one visit) and send out specimens incorrectly coded resulting in more bills. After thinking I got it all cleared up after two months, hours of calls and endless employees of Mohs not knowing, not being able to explain, and trying to place the blame here there and everywhere else, I got my money back. I only owed them one co-pay, not all the additional amounts they charged me. I was surprised when another bill arrived...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
