great doctor and bedside manner

Very rude, condescending, and difficult to reach. I would not recommend him to anyone. I canceled my procedure with him as a result

Very rude, inappropriate, and unprofessional. Difficult to reach. Condescending and not helpful. This is old school of medicine.

Exited room while I was still exposed. Gave no warning before prostate exam. Very dismissive of my concerns. Took over 2 weeks to order CT scan and blamed it on the insurance, but we were able to verify that he just hadn't written the request yet.

Not sure why this guy has so many good reviews on here. This "doctor" was always very rude when he came to talk to me and my family whenever we would ask any questions about the diagnosis. Made you feel stupid for doing so. Also gave a few false diagnoses and will make you go through extra tests so he can steal your money. Upon taking second opinions, other physicians scoffed at the diagnoses and plans of treatment of this doctor, saying that all of the diagnoses are invalid, and the procedures he would perform would be unnecessary. And in my case, led to further complication of infection. Talks incessantly in medical terms to give off the false impression that he knows what he's doing. If you value your health even a little bit, you won't go to this doctor.

I went to Dr Cottrell on the recommendation of my PCP. I was experiencing periods of frequent urination and occasional incontinence which was causing insomnia. He asked several relevant questions about my current medical issues (type 2 diabetes, neuropathy, bph), fluid intake frequency, and prescription meds I take. He then explained the pros/cons of the meds commonly used to treat my condition. I chose Rapaflo which has been effective in mitigating my problem. I have twice annual follow-ups

DR. COTTRELL HAS BEEN TREATING ME FOR AT LEAST 20 YRS. IN THE PAST TWO HE HAS GOTTEN OUT OF A WARM BED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND CAME TO THE ER TO REPLACE MY SUPRA CATHETER. AN OLD FASHION DOC WHO TELLS IT LIKE IT IS. WHEN MY PROSTATE CANCER HAD RETURNED I INQUIRED ABOUT AND OPERATION TO REMOVE THE CANCER HE TOLD ME EYE TO EYE THAT HE THOUGHT NO ONE WOULD WANT TO ATTEMPT SUCH AN OPERATION AS THE RISK OF SPREADING THE CANCER WAS QUITE HIGH. SINCE THE CANCER HAS RETURNED ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO, HE HAS ASSISTED THROUGH LATEST MEDICAL TECHNIQUES IN ME GETTING UP IN THE MORNING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE GRASS.

Di. Thomas Cottrell act like he knows everything and wants you to back every month to pay his visit fee for his business. He never give you the correct medication to treat you one time visit !!

I am extremely disappointed with Dr Cottrell. The medical diagonois he gave me didnt sit right with me. I found another doctor. I thank God I did because he found a tumor in the lining of my bladder that needed a biopsy and was removed. Dr Cottrell reviewed the ultrascan and saw the thicking of the bladder but determined it was "inconclusive" He also prescribed a medication that I shouldnt be taken with a medical condition that I have. When I questioned him about it, he said dont worry about it

Extremely rude doctor. Even after almost 4 decades in the profession, doesn't know how to talk to patients properly and has probably never even heard of the phrase "bedside manner." Also unable to grasp what layman's terms means. Talks about your condition in full medical jargon and then gets awfully irritated when you ask him any question at all. I would recommend finding someone else and saving your money.
