Great hospital

Saint Alexius ICU 3rd floor is great. I vouched for the medical team of doctors and nurses and of course the icu social workers and palliative members who works here and took care of my sister. God bless them and may they have continued strength spiritually, mentally , emotionally, and physically. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. Ramos Family.

Literally only gave it one star to create this review. This was genuinely one of the worst experiences, my family and I have ever endured. This is point blank an AWFUL hospital. The hospital is loaded with unprofessional staff, incompetent doctors, and overly confident nurses who do not know what they are doing. They do not make accommodations for anybody nor will they sympathize with parents at all. Nurses continued making rounds while the doctors and so called "specialist" were no where to be seen. This all seemed like a ploy to continue collecting money and bill insurance companies. None of the provided care was needed. This is not a hospital, it is a slaughterhouse! It doesn’t make sense to employ people who do not understand medicine to care for people at their most vulnerable. They make their own choices and decisions when it comes to the medical health of their patients and do not take anyone else’s needs into consideration. They are so ready to threaten with DCFS calls and calling the police as if people don’t know their rights....it was laughable. They all need to be better and care for people as they are supposed to.

my grandmother went to the hospital, and was there only for 2 MINUTES. she went there for ear pain, and the doctor who had an appointment with her, said on the sheet “mental health crisis” and the hearing is “normal”. Then when we called this service my mother asked why they did not even exam her. she asked for scans to check hearings. yet you doctors didn’t do ANYTHING to help. they put us on hold for more than 20 MINUTES. And there was no service at all. horrible and a PATHETIC hospital. also, now my grandmother has a massive headache & almost everything is swollen. which on the examination it said ‘mental health crisis’. and because of this I’m writing as the most IDIOTIC, PATHETIC, LAZY, AND IRRELEVANT to go to. this is the dumbest hospital to go to.

The worst hospital ever! We had our son born there and they took him down for circumcision and then he never came back to our room as they took him down to the Nicu for no reason whatsoever to “monitor” him without our consent as parents (I asked, if anything happen such as no breathing, heart rate went down they said no they just wanted to monitor yet they claim to have good baby security with tracking), they claim to have one to one ratio in the Nicu, but when we went downstairs at 11 PM and our son was bawling in tears. In the Nicu, they said at first they heard some difficulty breathing and put him on oxygen even though his oxygen levels were at 100% then after a day of that they took him off oxygen, but then they switched to his heart rate as they want to monitor that but the EKG technician told us that they have old equipment that fire false positives all the time. My son literally had no dependencies whatsoever and I asked them why are we here and they continue by saying we are monitoring him without any valid reason or official diagnosis. I even asked to transfer to another hospital and they said the would have to call DCSF and no you cannot have a say at all. I wouldn’t wish that experience to my worst enemy. Please avoid at all cost.
