Good doctor but...Dr. Amenta is very thorough and takes his time. He is helpful for a lot of procedures. However, I went there with severe sinus pain, completely clogged ears and a cough. He looked in my ears thoroughly and announced there was nothing the matter. He talked about possibly having a migraine, which I've never before had in my life. So, after another crummy and sick night, I returned to urgent care this morning and got prescribed antibiotics for a sinus infection (which I figured I had yesterday when I went to Homewood)

Dr. Amenta is very professional and performs a thorough examination. He and the audiologist tested my hearing and assessed my issue with tinnitus. I definitely recommend them for ENT treatment.

It took me forever to leave a review, but if I could leave a 10-star review for Dr. Amenta, I would. The procedure that only he does for tonsillectomies in a 5 state radius is well worth seeing your child (or yourself) recover so quickly. My son was eating solid food the day after!

Dr. Amenta is a awesome doctor. He made me feel comfortable during the whole process. I’m 10 days post-op from tonsillectomy surgery. I’m healing well and feeling great!

I just finished my 1st appointment with Dr. Amenta and I would highly recommend his service. I've been having throat issues on and off for the last year. There was a bit of a wait to get into see Dr. Amenta as a new patient so I had gone to a different ENT in the mean time, that was a mistake. The other ENT wasn't in the exam room for more than 5 minutes, and the exam was cursory at best. He immediately recommended I get my tonsils removed without discussing other options. Dr. Amenta, on the other hand, took his time and gave me a much more thorough examination before discussing my options with me. He explained all of his thoughts about the problems I was having. He did mention a tonsillectomy BUT he didn't think it was prudent to jump right to a major surgery without further exploration of the problems I've been having. I left his office feeling that he made, and would continue to make, a genuine effort to do what was best for me as the patient (definitely, not something I felt leaving the other office). I've had bad luck with specialists in the past who seem to be in and out so they can get on with golf. Dr. Amenta was a refreshing change of pace.

Great Doctor, and highly recommended. I need my ears cleaned out a few times a year and have been to many ENT's in my lifetime. Dr. Amenta is by far the most knowledgeable and gentle.

One of the worst consultations I've ever had. Doctor didn't listen at all, was dismissive and at one point interrupted me to mention a book he'd written on a completely unrelated subject. Left feeling ignored, and frankly ridiculous after practically begging him to address my concerns.

Dr. Amenta is exceptional! He is extremely kind, professional, & knowledgeable. Talking with Dr. Amenta is equivalent to speaking with a friend who just happens to be your doctor! His staff is very pleasant as well! 5 stars all the way! Great guy!
