List of Urgent Care At Uchicago Medicine Homewood's Reviews
DO NOT GO HERE! My 12 year old son was just turned away for bad neck pain because they don’t take his insurance. So we offered to just pay for the appointment to be seen right away. The rude woman at the desk said you should try the place across the street and wouldn’t even let us just pay for it. Horrible customer service. This place has a lack of empathy for people.
2nd time using this facility. It’s clean. It’s organized. High tech rooms. Staff is VERY nice and Professional. In and out less than 1 hr both times. Hidden gem!
I had 2 prior great experiences here. Last night was different. I went to the facility for a small burn on my child. The doctor sent us to the ER to get it treated. We were able to get it addressed elsewhere, and are satisfied that it is well taken care of. Of all conditions, I thought small burns would fall squarely in urgent care’s realm of care.
I went there today around 6 pm and was told they weren't serving any more patients. When I asked why, I was told they have enough patients for today, the patients scheduled to come. It's an Urgent Care Center and I want mgment to know what's going on.
It says right out the door as you’re walking in just walk in your appointment that’s not necessary but when you walk in there, they’re telling me the doctor can’t see me because I didn’t make an appointment. This place is terrible. Don’t ever waste your time going to the low class Medical facility
Came in for a sore throat that wouldn’t go away. Doctor looks in, everything looks good (referral to ENT) and sent home. About 1 month later went to see my doctor because the ENT appt was another month away and my throat still hurt . I had strep throat the entire time.
A waste of time went in for wrist pain, doctor said she was gonna give exercises to help the discomfort but she left out to go check for pain meds and never came back the nurse brung pain meds and to follow up with primary doctor.. nice facility for nothing
AWFUL. Everyone in there is rude except for the security lady at the front desk. Medical assistant was rude no bedside manner, doctor was rude. Both rushed through. I will never return here. Waste of my copay.
Quick and efficient visit . Staff is always kind
I have been here twice in the past three months and was always seen promptly. The diagnosis both times made sense. I reserved a time in advance each time and wait times seemed normal. Was I seen at the reserved time exactly? No, but it was within 15 minutes of that time. I always follow up with my primary physician, who is also with U of Chi Medical Center in Orland Park. No issues so far. (Generally I go to an immediate care center at local pharmacies but sometimes they are completely booked. The facility in Homewood has been a good alternative.)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
