Excellent
Very bad! I have never written a negative review in my life, neither for a restaurant nor a doctor or anything else; but this time I have to. This doctor inspires no trust or care at all! I went to dr. Shafi for some stomach problems that I had; he prescribed a bunch of exams that I had to undergo like endoscopy etc etc. Nothing wrong with that, the results was that I had gastritis; so, he prescribed a cure for that. When that didn't work, he prescribed something else to add to that; that didn't work either, so, I had the idea to ask to perform an allergy test. It turns out I am wheat intolerant ( among other things ) and this was the cause of my problems. I had to ask to get that allergy test, if it had been up to him he would have probably stuffed my face with medications for the rest of my life with no results! You're warned, you better find another doctor.
My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Shafi since moving here in 2005. We have always had positive experiences with both Dr. Shafi, his support staff, and front/back office teams whenever having our colonoscopies scheduled and performed. Knowledgeable people, tremendous patience, active listeners and genuine concern for your well being. I feel remiss in having not offered a review until now. My sincere apologies. Note: I must confess that it took an unexpected gastro-intestinal emergency that landed me at the St. Rose Hospital ER to realize how special you (Dr. Shafi) and your practice are. Once discharged from the hospital, I followed a very capable and compassionate GI doctor to his practice for an outpatient EGD (Endoscopy) -- never again.
If you want a doctor that shows compassion to his patients, DO NOT go to Dr Mohammed Shafi. He does not care about his patients only money. On the day after my colonoscopy is completed, he did not show me the results but told me that my colon has a lot of loops and twists from my last hospital stay thus causing my bowel symptoms and pain. When I came back for a follow up, he then changed his wording saying my colon does not have any loops and twists probably to protect the hospital. The next few visits was uncomfortable as he would raise his voice and wants to just rush me out and give several medications that did not work for me. He clearly did not want to spend time with me. Now I have rabbit ball shape stools and I have to a lot of vegetables, brown rice, etc every day for fiber to help with bowel movement shapes dropped together. I will be looking for another doctor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME to see Dr Shafi!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
