It is with a very heavy heart that I write this review. First and foremost, I have had Dr. Kiesel as my nephrologist for several years now (even prior to her transfer to Northeast Nephrology) and she is an "absolute gem"! Her care and compassion is unbeatable and I 100% agree with the amazing reviews left about her from other patients! I am beyond grateful to have met her and will always think of her as an amazing doctor! Please know Dr. Kiesel deserves nothing less than 5 stars, however there is another factor which has caused this review. Unfortunately, having a hereditary family kidney condition and a few other concerns, I reached out to Northeast Nephrology as we would like to have the same physician (currently my mother and I have different doctors within the same office). I was advised that due to office policy, my mother would be unable to switch her doctor to Dr. Kiesel. After a nice discussion with the Office Manager, I was advised she would discuss my concerns and reach back out to me. Unfortunately several weeks have gone by, including me leaving another message for the Office Manager, with no response. A final determination, one way or another, was all I was asking for. What is in our family's best interest definitely comes first, so we had to make the hard decision to move on elsewhere. I no longer feel it is my responsibility to keep leaving unanswered messages. It is true disappointment that lack of communication has led to our decision as patients to leave this office.

I had the BEST experience with Dr Kisiel she’s very caring and made me feel Im extremely important not only as a patient but as a human… this experience started by the support stuff at the front Leticia, Kaylie and Leslie. Again thank you words can’t explain my gratitude.

The office staff need improvement. I needed my lab order faxed and after saying they would, they turned off the phone and left for the day. (Specifically the JOLIET office, hopefully the others are better)

The staff in this Dr office is very unprofessional especially a medical assistant who isn't even certified by the name of Kaylie. She thinks she is the boss and She is very unprofessional and rude in person and on the phone.
