I actually came here a few years ago for a mole inspection/ removal, and I have to say that it was a great experience with Dr. Liang. As a patient, I was taught what exactly moles are, what to look for in terms of any physical changes, and I was debriefed about the removal process. They took their time to explain these things and not rush me through the door, which shows the level of care they provide (at least in my experience). As someone who has worked in medical clinics, I have to tell you that often the reason that a doctor may be "running late" is not usually because they are running late, it is because a patient is running late! If they want to provide the same level of care to the late patient as everyone else and the appointment requires a certain amount of time, then you should expect that every subsequent appointment may begin a few minutes behind schedule. This means that a few people running late to an appointment can set back the time of your appointment by 10-15 min. , for example. This is why it is important to not only come on time, but to have at least a little bit of empathy when and if your appointment begins later than scheduled. Also please understand this scenario: if a patient is seen at about 10:00 am, for example, and another patient is being seen at 10:30 am, but the first person comes into 10 minutes late, depending on the nature of both appointments, that first person may or may not be able to be seen. I think this is logical and reasonable. The person's lateness should not affect the person who regularly comes in on time, and they may have a time-sensitive appointment in which it CANNOT start late. The point of this tangent is that there must be accountability and respect from both patient and provider to build rapport and receive quality care.
I used to live in Bolingbrook, I’ve been going to this office since 2012. 5 years ago I moved over an hour away from here and continue to come here even though I have to drive a long way to get here (witch i don’t mind) . Probably it’s my fault that today I showed up to my appointment 10 min after, and I was told they couldn’t see me because if they did see me they wouldn’t be able to take lunch. I work in the service industry and I can’t count how many times I don’t take lunch because I have to take care of customers. I explained that it was raining hard on my way there and that’s why I was 10 min late. I also say I was coming from far a way. My option was to rescheduled. Normally when I come to my appointment I have to wait 15-20 min before they take me and This time that couldn’t take me in. Not to say one was in the waiting room waiting to go in. I’m very frustrated because I took the day off for my app knowing I have to drive over an hour. Unfortunately I won’t come back.
I came in for an appointment late December of 2020 to see what I could do for my acne. At first, everything was fine and I got checked in by the nurse. However, once Dr. Liang came in, I felt like as if he did not care about me at all. Dr. Liang came into the room super rushed and I saw him for less than 7 minutes.First, I began explaining my conditions for my acne and I was explaining how I wanted to possibly go on accutane. Then, Dr. Liang interrupted me and said how I can't go on accutane immediately, I have to get prescribed a medicine first and check back in a month. I was totally okay with that until then, Dr. Liang said he was prescribing me Clindamycin, Trentinoin, and doxycycline antibiotics. The problem with that, however, was that I had gone to Dr. Liang in 2016 and he had prescribed me the same exact group of medicines for my face. When he said he was prescribing me these medicines, I tried to stop him and let him know that I had previously gone on these medications before four years prior and they didn't have any effect. However, before I could even say that, Dr. Liang, word by word, said, "Be quiet and let me finish".As in, he wanted me to be quiet and let him finish describing the medicines he was prescribing me even though I was trying to tell him that there was no need to describe them because I've been on there before. I wanted to let him know that maybe we could use a different variant of medicines but after he told me to shut up, he literally left the room. Thus, not only did I see Dr. Liang for less than 10 minutes, but he prescribed me the same exact medicine from four years prior. I literally found the old prescriptions from 2016 and can include the photos as proof if anyone wants to see it.I was very disappointed and angry after my appointment. For a dermatologist, I was hoping he would actually listen to my problems rather than shut me out and disregard me in a span of seven minutes. If you are in the Southwest suburbs, please save your money and do not go to Dr. Liang if you don't want to get your time and money wasted.
I know Dr Liang from last 18 some years went to see him for Acne, I myself I am a HCP, and feel that Dr. Liang doesn't treat, He cures, you see Him one time, you don't have to see him again, same with both my kids, showed them once, didn't had to go again, as he cures not treat, He is one of the best in his profession, very laid back, doesn't rush, gives you time, calm, compose. Thank You
Worst front office personnel ever they need to be replaced. The front office makes the entire practice look like it is poorly run and and a complete mess. If have a real need to see the doctor too bad with the front office you have to wait until there is another open appointment. The front office makes you work with their schedule and not yours.
Dr. Liang is an excellent doctor. He treats skin conditions with knowledge and care. My husband and I have been Dr. Liang's patients for a number of years as well as my entire family. He answers and explains all questions, never rushes you out of his office, and makes sure he covered everything before we leave. His staff is wonderful too. You can get an appointment with ease.
Dr. Liang is an excellent dermatologist. My husband credits this physician with saving his life in his treatment of skin cancer. Our whole family has been treated by Dr. Liang for everything from eczema, warts, to suspicious mole removal. He takes his work seriously and has the patient's best interests in mind. Save a life? He gets a five star rating!
Super nice staff! The dr. was very patient and knowledgeable. Excellent experience!
I have been seeing Dr. Liang for several years and am completely satisfied with his care. He always addresses my concerns and spent as long as time needed. Several members of my family also see Dr. Liang and are well satisfied.
Please read!! I read the other review before seeing dr liang and I should of listened. I went anyways because my problem couldn't wait for the other doctors that were booked a month out. But seriously do NOT waste ur time and money on this terrible doctor. I shouldn't even be calling a doctor nor should he even be one! He didn't even talk . He typed on his laptop for 15 minutes! After looking at my face and scalp he says yep you have pimples and told me the medicine ill receive , but when I tried asking questions he didnt give me answers . After trying it one day I peeled broke out and was in alot of pain . Called back and they said "well that's why we gave samples to try." Seriously your a dermatologist. You should know what RIGHT medication to give. After looking at my scalp he simply said it looks better. This was the FIRST time going to see him so I simply said back how can you think it looks better when you haven't seen it before? He smiles. Says nothing. I never in my life right a review or a bad one for that matter. But everyone needs to know and be aware of this so call "Dr. Liang" that has no idea what he's doing. I always ignore reviews because everyone has their opinion. But honestly he's that bad. STAY AWAY!
Waste of money for a 15-20 minute consult. 127$! with nothing resolved!
