1st time in the office I was greet in professional manner and when I step into the office to meet with Dr. Salmon, he knew exactly what I had and explained the rash I had on my face and not to be alarm. I truly admired him for understanding and taking the time to explain what I had.
Dr Salmon is a very caring physician. He's thorough but gentle, and never hurries. I have been a patient of his over several years for different reasons and I would not want to leave his care.
I look for professionalism...and I found it. He is thorough and has been totally accurate. He has diagnosed and treated me three times. I like the friendliness of his staff and how easy they are to talk with....especially comforting during removal procedures! He answers all my questions and has taken very good care of me.
Dr. Salmon is outstanding in his field of dermatology. I've been his patient for the past ten years. I've found him to be precise, attentive and professionally competent. I highly recommend him.
I first consulted with Dr. Salmon in 2013 when he removed an aggressive squamous cell carcinoma on my hand. He referred me to an excellent Mohs surgeon and has done my follow up skin exams since then. I am very confident in his care . He also doesn't push unnecessary treatments or procedures. Being an Az native and a redhead I've seen several dermotogists and have liked him the best.
Doctor is great- staff very poor - Appointment was for 10:15, 2/24/17, arrived 10:00 AM. Checked in. At 11:00 AM, I informed receptionist I waited long enough and was leaving. Her reply " OK"! She seemed to say "So What, who cares". Never Why or whats wrong.
For basic skin issues, he is adequate, but when confronted with a difficult long lasting skin problem, he had no answers and no suggestions or recommendations as to how to get relief. It has been nearly 5 months and I am still suffering from bleeding and itching. He says sometimes this happens and there are no answers and my condition could last for years. His admin. staff seem much more interested in collecting a co-pay for each follow-up visit rather than how I was doing with my problem.
He made the appointment for 4:30 so there were no other patients to hear my screams. He cut a piece of my nose off and did not use any numbing agent. He then came at me with a hot poker to stop the bleeding. I yelled, "STOP."
Had been my primary dermatologist for over four years and was a favorite doctor. But in 2017, one month after his routine evaluation, the PCP found two squamous and one basal cell cancers which were overlooked!
WORST dermatologist I've ever seen. He scheduled me for a biopsy at 4:30 p.m. for a growth on my nose. When he came toward me, I asked if he was going to numb it first. He said he couldn't. I screamed at the top of my lungs when he cut into my nose (reason for 4:30 pm appointment). Obviously, he had no intention of numbing me. With my eyes closed, I smelled and felt the heat of him coming near me to cauterize my open wound with a hot poker. I told him to get away from me with that and told him to stop the bleeding with some gauze. A month later I received a letter from Banner Medical that he no longer worked for them.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
