Rush Kids Pediatric Therapy's Online Review Report Card

Very disappointed. I made an appointment for my son. Filled out several pages of paperwork/ questions. Just to re-answer them my entire appointment. I was told the therapist would send me resources to work at home with my son and an evaluation. I never received any additional info only that the therapist would reach out via email. Everytime I called the therapist is out of office. They forgot to send me any resources, but made sure not to forget to bill me for the waste of time. When I called most recently I was finally able to atleast get an evaluation sent to me via mail, but other than that still no resources for at home care with my non verbal/ non-walking toddler. Thankfully, we were able to get help through early intervention.

Didn't even get through the door and I was an annoyed by the phone call I received the other day. We had an evaluation set up with an SLP who I spoke to and seemed absolutely wonderful and wish we had a chance to work with her but due to the phone call I received we will not be moving forward with our eval. I don't remember who called but from the start she had an attitude in her voice, I was immediately put off but tried to be understanding since it was a Monday at 4pm, I get it. She continued to say we we out of therapy visits through insurance and didn't understand why we were out of visits and asked did we go to other clinics. I said yes we do see a few other therapists and he has therapy at school. I also explained to her this happens every year and we write a letter to our insurance requesting an extension and that we mailed it last week. She continued with tone of annoyance in her voice and made me feel like I was trying to pass a fast one on her. She even asked in the most awful time "does he even have a diagnosis?" Well that pushed me over the edge, he does I said he has cerebral palsy, ASD and is a wheelchair user. That didn't even seem to phase her. I asked if we would be able to still do the eval and she said in another harsh tone no. She explained we wouldn't move further until our insurance would call them stating we have enough therapies for the rest of the year. I can understand policies and procedures for therapy clinics and hospitals, but my issue was the attitude and tone she used. As soon as our conversation was over I contacted another clinic who was happy to take us and obviously knows how to speak to future clients. One bad apple can ruin everything.

I cannot say enough positive things about this facility. My son is currently 4 years old and he has been going to Rush in LaGrange since he was 2 years old, prior to his Autism diagnosis. He receives, OT, Speech and ABA therapy and the therapists are kind, compassionate, professional, busy, engaging, supportive, thorough and they all really enjoy what they are doing working with the kiddos. My son has made so much progress since coming to this center. We have worked with several therapists over the years here and they are all the best. I would definitely recommend this center to anyone who needs therapy for their little one(s)!! Shout outs to Ms. Katie, Mr. David, Ms. Karen, Ms. Grace. Ms. Alexia Roc, and Ms. Rachel!

My daughter OT Mary is amazing and has helped her to achieve many goals such as learning how to share and calm down her anxiety with music. I recommend Rush Kids at La Grange and feel very thankful with all of them. My son was also a patient there for 4 years and what they did for him was awesome as well.

Katie has built a strong relationship with our child and has made activities and learning fun for him! She listens to his interests and tailors the plan accordingly!

I am very grateful for everyone at Rush Kids. My daughter receives physical and speech therapy here. Her PT Beth works so well with her, and my little girl who can be anxious with others goes to her without tears each time. Miranda is also amazing with her and has taught me so much about how to help my daughter with her communication skills. The front desk staff are very organized and kind and make the therapy experience even more seamless. I feel confident that my daughter is getting the help she needs at Rush Kids.
