Athletico Physical Therapy's Online Review Report Card

I broke my left humerus during a terrible fall during a vacation. I was fortunate that my VA doctor sent me to the Athletico Physical Therapy clinic in Lake in the Hills. I attended 15 rehabilitation sessions with Dr. Karen Shanahan. I was barely able to lift my left arm. I felt that Dr. Shanahan genuinely concerned with my health and recovery. Through her professional knowledge, and compassion she was able to help me gain full function of my left arm. Bravo Zulu Dr. Shanahan

To anyone in search of OT especially for hands this place is a win win!! Jodie and Susan went above and beyond with their methods of therapy. They even made a car key fob so I could start my car with my affected hand, well done 🤗

Susan, an Occupational Therapy (OT) hand therapist is a very competent practitioner. She is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience. You are in good hands! I went in with wrist pain in both hands for years and everything improved when I got OT. My pain came down to little to no pain, increases range of motion, and increase strength in grip and pinch.

I have had a great experience using Athletico in Lake of the hills. My therapist was Karen Shanahan. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped me heal with great strategies. She tried to answer the many questions I had about my problems and helped ease my concerns. All of the staff were helpful, efficient and very respectful. The facility was clean and they accommodated my schedule. I have used different facilities for therapy before and this was the best.

It was horrible!!! I was there to see a hand Therapist & she NEVER worked on me! NOT ONCE! She passed me down to a person in training!!! I loved her, but I paid for a certified hand Therapist! Instead she stood behind me fixing a fan, standing outside, & getting caught up in her work so she can go home!!!! Went to Orthi Illinois & she was AWESOME!!! Lake in the hills Athletico was awful! Been to other locations & they we're good! Don't go there for hand PT!

Jody and Susan are amazing Occupational Therapists. They truly care about your recovery. They are very thorough taking time to explain and answer any questions. They care about how you are feeling both physically and mentally. I have been in OT for 6 months for a nerve surgery in my elbow and with their help have made amazing progress. Im so thankful for them. They know their stuff. I wouldn’t be this far in my recovery with out them. Also the front desk staff is so efficient and truly cares. I’m so thankful to Peggy and for making sure I received the therapy I needed and Jeanine for always being so helpful when I made my appointments.

I've been here 3 times for different conditions and every time the staff has been amazing. Knowledgeable, personable, professional, accommodating, and mist of all: easy to talk to. Thank you guys and gals for helping me get back on my feet. -Tyler

Jennifer has been my go to therapist following two surgeries in recent years. She is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and pays attention to what works to motivate you to do your best. I’ve never had a question go unanswered or a need overlooked. If I am in need of therapy again I won’t hesitate to call her again.

This is my 3rd physical therapy at Athletico Lake in the Hills. All the therapists that were there years before are still there. I feel safe at all times and each session increases strength and endurance. The therapists are very knowledgeable. I would never consider going anywhere else for therapy. My internist initially referred me to Athletico because they hire only the best therapists.

I attribute a large part of my rapid recovery from multiple hip surgeries to the superior physical therapy treatment I received at Athletico - Lake in the Hills, Il, in particular, Lori Larsen. Her professionalism and expertise ensured each session returned almost immediate benefits. The friendly staff deserve a mention too!
