List of Advocate Condell Medical Center's Reviews
My first time taking my mother there to emergency. Extremely rude nurses cannot get any updates or callbacks on her condition. Treated like cattle will not go there again.
My wife is 16 weeks pregnant and we've been waiting in the emergency room for 4hrs before my wife got attended.
After a death in my family due to the hospital's negligence on the part of infectious disease and medical doctors, I filed a complaint with Livanta, a quality improvement organization that reviews quality of care provided to Medicare beneficiaries. One of Livanta's requirements in order for one of their independent doctors to review the quality of care provided, is to obtain the medical records from the provider/hospital. They will not accept medical records from the patient/patient's family. Advocate Condell Medical Center is refusing to comply and cooperate with providing the medical records to Livanta even though they did provide the medical records to the family. We believe that Advocate Condell is acting fishy and suspiciously by not allowing Livanta to obtain the medical records so that they can perform their own independent review of the quality of care my family member obtained while at the hospital. Hospitals like this need to be reported for consumer complaint due to their lack of cooperation. What is it that they are hiding or do not want an independent doctor to see even though they supposedly say they did everything properly and found no wrong doing with their doctors? If that is the case, then why not be transparent and open with Livanta so they can do their investigation? Because of this, Livanta has technically denied the request to review due to the hospital's non-cooperation. I will be taking this directly to a forum such as NBC5 Investigates and filing a consumer complaint into these fishy and quite frankly suspicious practices. If a hospital wants to deny wrongdoing, then they better cooperate fully. If they're not able to, then we all know there is something more to things than meets the eye. DO NOT take your loved one to this hospital
I had an excellent labor and delivery experience with their professional staff. The nurses and doctors respected my personal wishes for the most part. I had a very satisfactory experience! I’m happy that I delivered here. I felt well taken care of the whole time with their caring and friendly staff.
I was very grateful to the staff that attended to my needs at the Libertyville hospital. They were very prompt, courtesy and intelligent. I would take my own children there. This goes to all staff started serving me 3/28/23😁
Terrible bedside manner. My elderly grandma was in patient for several days and very ill. She had a very special stuffed cat from when she was young that they don't sell it anymore and they threw it in the trash!!! We visited everyday so we know the exact day it went missing and no one would help us look for the stuffed cat for days until guest services contacted house keeping who said that they would have thrown it away if they found it. We complained the the nurses who said they couldn't do anything about it. Terrible experience. DO NOT TRUST THESE THIEVES!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely unacceptable and disgraceful conduct.
This review is for ER admittance staff. I showed up confused, high fever, low blood pressure, high heart rate and almost blacking out. They thought I was faking it. Nurse pushed me back with her elbow against my chest almost violently as I was rocking back and forth in the chair. Turns out I was in a full blown sepsis. Spent next 4 days trying to survive. Once in an actual room, nurses and doctors were amazing and they got a group from ICU to take over due to sepsis alert. Front desk needs a serious reality check and retraining. How does someone working front desk at level 1 trauma ER not know to recognize signs of sepsis???
Recently had surgery there...the staff was amazing!
Not to impressed with the ER. If you need medical assistance go somewhere else. Waited for over 3 hours, then they wanted to draw blood from me in an unsanitary waiting room. Totally unacceptable. Had to get up and walked out of that place while I still could. I was feeling a toe tag.
Please please I am begging you, do not take your family or refer your friends to this facility. Where do I start? My poor elderly dad. I have already made a patient relations complaint and frankly I don’t post reviews, but the horrible care my father received in this so called hospital is horrific. My dad, sicker than can be in the emergency room with not the greatest veins, was poked by the nurse in training guided by another nurse who was fairly new. The rest of the stay was a nightmare. 10 days of zero answers or reasons for why they were doing what they were doing. I was told my dad didn’t have a physician for me to speak with guiding his care, but a hospitalist, to which I never received a single call to update me on anything. When they decided it was time to discharge him, his caseworker LINDA on west one, who really shouldn’t ever be employed by any place that requires working with the public, was hostile and the least helpful person I have ever encountered. If my dad passes away, the fault lies with her. Her job as the caseworker is to ensure patients have what they need to go home. Linda decided that instead of having someone take another look at him and make sure he didn’t require a stay at a rehab facility as he was skin and bone at that point and becoming weaker and weaker, that I should hire someone and she didn’t know what to tell me. Linda is a despicable human being and Advocate Condell should be ashamed to employ this type of staff member. The day he was released, he was by no means ready to come home. Due to the staffs lack of resources and lack of help, my father had a large bedsore on his bottom. They pulled his chest tube prematurely and now he is back on another one and gravely ill. The nurse pulled his chest tube, no guidance from a physician, nor did the physician even come and check to make sure it was ready. Upon returning home, we drove him to Milwaukee to a better hospital who was appalled and apologetic for the lack of care and concern he received. . Please do not subject your family to this horrible hospital and negligent staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
