Dr. Chow is an excellent physician in every way. His staff is considerably less so. They are unhelpful, sometimes unpleasant, and completely disinterested in the welfare of his patients in the current pandemic.

The office staff is not responsive at all. Several times I made calls and left messages with terrible response times if any. I had an appointment in late October and got to the office 10 minutes early. Waited for 10 out in the waiting room and then was put into an exam room where I waited an hour for the Doctor. My elderly mother had to wait 2 hours from her appointment time to see the doctor. Overbooked the last visit, too- plan on over an hour wait if you go.

Dr. Chow has been very kind to me as he takes care of my heart. He's patient and doesn't ask me to make appointments to see him if there isn't a really good reason. As things stand now, I only go in to see him once a year. And now my husband needs a cardiologist and I felt confident in recommending that he see Dr. Chow.

Dr. Chow was assigned to me when I was admitted to Advocate Condell in Libertyville for heart failure. Dr. Chow was not satisfied that the reason for my heart failure was as simple as it may have seemed. He did test after test until a double-sided angiogram revealed severe mitral valve leakage that was not detected on an echocardiogram or a trans-esophageal echo. His refusal to stop until he nailed the answer saved my life as it resulted in a mitral valve repair. Dr. Chow has a great bedside manner, is genuinely interested in me as his patient, and takes all the time necessary during appointments. Highly recommended.

Dr. Chow is an excellent doctor. I think what makes an excellent doctor is that he actually listens to his patients and is genuinely concernced for them. His bedside manner is top notch! I would recommend him.
