Dr. Chow is an excellent physician in every way. His staff is considerably less so. They are unhelpful, sometimes unpleasant, and completely disinterested in the welfare of his patients in the current pandemic.

The office staff is not responsive at all. Several times I made calls and left messages with terrible response times if any. I had an appointment in late October and got to the office 10 minutes early. Waited for 10 out in the waiting room and then was put into an exam room where I waited an hour for the Doctor. While I waited I noticed other patients come in 15-20 minutes after me and be put in rooms next to me. Then my Doctor went and saw them before me even though I was clearly there much before them. Poor customer experience with this practice !!! The Doctor took me off my BP medicine 7 months prior and I ended up putting myself back on. Should have never been taken off. The Doctor orders some Lab tests which I immediately go to the Hospital and get that day. 1 week goes by and I haven't heard anything from the Doctor or his Office. Normally, my whole life I hear back in 2-4 days after Lab work. 2nd week goes by....still haven't heard from them and kept calling. End of the 3rd week a Nurse calls me and try's to go over the results but doesn't fully understand them.....I asked why can't or hasn't the Doctor called me???? No good answer. End of the 4th Week Dr. Chow starts to call me......at this point I'm very dis-satisfied with the entire Office and Doctor and don't answer his calls. So now I want to appeal the Bill and the Lab Bill has the entire visit was totally worthless and unprofessional in every way. The Office Manager, like the rest the rest of the staff, is not helpful, understanding or willing to do anything. I would not in anyway recommend Lake Heart Specialists to anyone who is looking for a good Doctor or healthcare.

My elderly mother had to wait 2 hours from her appointment time to see the doctor. Overbooked the last visit, too- plan on over an hour wait if you go.

Dr. Chow has been very kind to me as he takes care of my heart. He's patient and doesn't ask me to make appointments to see him if there isn't a really good reason. As things stand now, I only go in to see him once a year. And now my husband needs a cardiologist and I felt confident in recommending that he see Dr. Chow.
