Dr. Tack and staff at Illinois Bone and Joint were amazing! They really made me felt comfortable. I have see many doctors for my chronic Lower Back Pain and Dr. Tack was the first one who made me feel heard and listened too!

Do not go to this doctor. He is arrogant with poor people skills. I could deal with that except he botched my hip replacement by nicking my sciatic nerve causing many months of nerve pain and several years of numbness. When I brought this to his attention post surgery, he denied doing anything wrong and when he finally did admit to it after many months, he minimized the impact or its significance. I should have paid attention to his other negative reviews that I read prior to surgery. IBJI, on the other hand is a wonderful practice with very good doctors and therapists. I do not recommend Dr. Tack. Seek another IBJI orthopedic surgeon.

As always, I received very thorough and conscientious treatment by everyone at IBJI. I’ve been a number of physicians over the years (all have been great) but Dr. Tack is always so responsive. He’s an excellent surgeon and physician!

Dr. Tack is very thorough and kind. He has an excellent bed side manner. The doc went over my x-rays with me in a way that was easy to follow to pinpoint the cause behind my back pain. Furthermore, he offered logical solutions. I’d highly recommend him for anyone who is having any kind of pain. The waiting room was very crowded and loud. My appointment also ran 45 minutes late. Other than that, I still think this is a great place to go if you are experiencing pain in any of your bones or joints. Thanks!

I went to see Dr. Tack for a second opinion. He communicated clearly to me, provided me options, and suggested I get current films. He requested that I come back with the films and he would offer his professional opinion of what could be done to address my pain. I’m currently scheduled for the films and will definitely go back to see him!

Dr.Tack is thorough and explains the issue/ issues quite plainly. The Dr. replaced my hip 4 years ago and I’m very pleased with the result. I am now in the process of having Dr. Tack examine my sciatica problem on the other leg. I have complete trust in Dr. Tack.
