List of Richard A. Margolin's Reviews
Richard Margolin has been my family doctor for almost all my life and is honest/caring with his practice. Appointments are optionally virtual most of the time through LiveWell and availability is usually within a week, staff will work with you on immediate appointments. Overall, the last couple years have been great with this office, only issues have been wait times when you arrive. State insurance is accepted here. Location is the backside of parking lot, inside the entrance with auto doors, first door on your left.
Dr Margolin bedside manner is unbelievable. We have been using him for 11 yrs, when admitted into Condell, he was there. Concider yourself grateful to be his patient.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
0 stars. Was my PCP for several years before the Covid-19 virus. Horrible bedside manner, rare that he even looks at you when you are in the exam room. I was able to overlook some of this stuff because I trusted him. My last appointment ended with him shouting F*** Y*** to me because I did not agree with his politics and now I've just received 2 certified letters telling me he won't treat me anymore. ...
Dr. Richard Margolin is kind and is a proactive medical Problem solver. He promptly comes up with treatments and solutions for his patients. He makes certain all my needs and health concerns are well documented and resolved. All the staff there are courteous and genuine. He will even make hospital visits from time to time. - Hilton H.
Dr. Richard Margolin is kind and is always proactive in meeting the needs of his patients. Anything I have ever needed he always makes certain it will make a difference and doesn't not conflict with any other treatments. He is very thorough and focused. - Hilton H.
Have been going to see Dr. Margolin for years! He's thorough, detailed, informative and most of all, caring. He'll take time with you even though you KNOW he's very busy. Ask any question of him and he's always ready to answer knowledgeably and frankly. Most recently, he came to see me in the hospital as my Primary Physician, even though my illness was under the care of another physician. He's nice, personable, and ready to help you. Yes, his practice has grown immensely since I started going to him, but it stands to reason because he is a good doctor. One of the best!
I've been going to Dr. Margolin for over 11 years and recommend everyone to him! He's given me many referrals for me and my son and they've been just as great! If I've ever had an issue with someone he referred me to, he called and complained to them and gave me someone else I would be happier with. Some times he does seem rushed, but he's a doctor and has hospitals calling and other patients to see, not just me. Most times he sits and answers every single question I have, no matter how dumb I may think it is, until I feel better and have all the answers I need. I will not be changing or complaining just because his practice has gotten bigger like some of these other people are saying. Wouldn't you rather have a doctor that people WANT to see than one who has nothing going on? He's stuck with me whether he's happy about it or not lol and he takes fantastic care of me AND my son!
My family has seen Dr. Margolin since 2008, with some breaks due to travel. Initially he was friendly, even funny, and his staff was professional and courteous. I would have rated him 5 stars for the first 5 years or so. However, I have noticed a sharp drop in service from the doctor in the last few years. He is incredibly rushed in his visits. On my first visit back to him after several years when asking for a referral for a psychiatric consultation, he spent a little more than 1 minute in the room with me after I waited about 20 minutes in the room (another 10 outside in the waiting area). He spent most of the time typing on his laptop, hardly looking at me. He did ask after my family briefly, which was nice. The next 2 times I've visited he has been equally as rushed and abrupt. On one occasion, he was arguing with a patient next to my room so loudly I could hear their conversation! While I do think the patient was being unfair from what I heard, I shouldn't have heard an argument at all - not professional. Overall I will standby his practice. I have not had a misdiagnosis and to my knowledge my whole family has received adequate and reliable service. We go to him because we know him. If he's going through a personal matter, that might explain this change. Hopefully he can find a way to bring joy to his work again.
I've been seeing Dr. Margolis for over a year now and I'm not sure why? He seems nice hiwever he has never really guven the impression that he wanted to know me. Time is is important but to Dr. Margolin it doesnt seem to be. I get to my appointment about 10 mins early, get into an examining room within 10 mins of mh scheduled time and then usually wait no less than 30 mins before he comes in. 15 mins later im going out the door. The last straw for me was today's appointment. I scheduled it several months ago and even confirmed it two weeks ago. Today I show up on the 3rd Saturday of the month and the office is closed. Called the answering service to find out what happened and they didn't even know that the office was closed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
