List of Paul F Merrick's Reviews
My husband really enjoyed Dr. Merrick. Will be going back to him next year for a follow up visit.
My 90 year old father scheduled for surgery for bladder cancer. He did his prep the night before, left house 5am, waited for hours only to be told Dr. Merrick not available & will call to reschedule. You do not do this to a 90 yo man.

Dr Merrick does not tell you to try Beelith pills 2x a day to dissolve kidney stones. He just sends you to the stone blasting center to make a lot of money off of you. …….Beelith is by Beach Company & ordered at the pharmacy and no prescribtion.
I waited several months to get a test done after my vasectomy to get tested by Quest to ensure that the procedure was successful. However, the lab faxed my results to dr Merrick 2 week’s ago and I can’t seem to be notified of the results...
I was a patient of Dr.paul Merrick who perform a biosopy and I found out I have prostate cancer, during the process after finding out, he ordered a body and scan in which the insurance company denied the insurance company wanted to have a peer to peer with Dr.paul Merrick after waiting for roughly two weeks I had to keep call his office to find out the reason he couldn't take 15-30min out of his extremely busy schedule was because he was to busy preparing for a month long vacation, so after finding out I have prostate cancer 8/21/17 I never did hear back from him I called the cancer treatment centers Zion Illinois and they got ever test approved and will be having surgery in a week, so I just want to thank Dr.paul Merrick for his professional way of handling my cancer case.
Dr.paul Merrick told me I had prostate cancer on 8/21/17 I never did hear back from him I called the insurance company to find out if what was the hold up and they informed me that it was they were waiting to hear back from him I which he never contacted them he could never get me back in his office NEVER!!!
Merrick has been very disappointing! My elderly father has been Mr Merrick's patient for approximately four months. Mr. Merricks inability to help my father with his urinary / enlarged prostate has been a disaster!! In the four months that we have started seeing Merrick my dad has been in either immediate care facility or an emergency room seven times. In these seven times three of them he had to be transported by ambulance. You never get to see Merrick. See you in 30 days is what you get!
Dr. Merrick is truly an expert in his field and is totally up-to-date with what is happening today in the world of urology..I have been a patient of his for over fifteen years and have never questioned how he has taken care of me!!! I truly appreciate that he is not an alarmist and has a very calming effect when he gives me a plan of treatment to follow. He came highly recommended by my personal physician, Dr. Paul Meyer, and the physician my wife worked with as a nurse, Dr. Caroline Wolfe.
Paul and his staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me all the time I needed to ask questions and help me understand.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
