I would give him 0 stars if I could. My Mom was his patient for decades - so he knew her well. She went to office once a year for a physical. She was only on thyroid medicine. She made an appointment because she wasn’t feeling well. Her BP was 195/90. A days later it was 215/120. Her usual BP was 116/65 range. He kept telling her she was fine and to wait for the newly prescribed BP medicine to work. A week later she was dead. 100% this doctor did not quickly address her situation. When confronted by me, after her death, he mentioned he wasn’t negligent in treating her. Interesting choice of words....... the fact he knew her for decades and that she went to his office for a non-yearly exam, should have been his first clue something serious was happening. The paramedics, police, coroner and friends in the medical field were angst she wasn’t sent to the hospital. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR!
Went to see his for a new patient consult and had a terrible experience. Since when is a breast exam part of a new consult? No nurse in the room, just him. RUN.. BAD, arrogant, pompous, NO longer my doctor... just got a bill for services that were recommended by doctor not covered by insurance. This man is a joke. All about himself and the dollars not the patient... Would not listen to me. refused to refer to specialist for pain management, wanted me to see a MENTAL HEALTH doctor, call me an addict even though I have never abused any of my medications and did not want to write me a script for them... Told me I had heart disease even though I was cleared by a cardiologist, told me my lung cancer was not caused by smoking even though I smoked since I was 12 for over 40 years.. Where does he come off with this? Your fired!
He told me what course of action I needed on my first visit, without taking the time to listen to me. Was more interested in trying to spend insurance money in my opinion than caring for the patient. If medication has never been an issue, then why do you want to change it? He seemed to get pleasure out of telling me my medical history and that the type of lung cancer i had previously was not caused by smoking and that even though I had failed a stress test and then was cleared by a cardiologist, that I should go on medication for my heart disease . What a joke. I must have some really good insurance!! The man does not have what it takes to be My doctor...
Rich goes beyond sumoly prescribing medications. He takes into account the human spirit.
I like Dr. Krause a lot. I have several medical problems but am not comfortable visiting doctors for lots of reasons. But he makes me feel comfortable visiting him & discussing my problems with interest &, I believe, accuracy. He hasn't steered me wrong yet, at any rate. Some physicians have made me very uncomfortable because of my "reticence" with them. But Dr. Krouse puts me at ease, which is an accomplishment.
Dr Krouse always been a very good Doctor over the years. He the only Doctor that is very accurate and concern with any Medical issues that I've have. He will take the time to listen to you what you have to say and if need to he will direct you to any other Doctor that can help you out, plus he will follow up what he said or done. His staff of nurses has always been great too!
This doctor sent my Mom out of his office with BP of 195/95. This is a woman who had NO history of HBP, her normal BP was 117/68. Two days later it climbed to 210/120, he still told her she was fine, just take the meds he said and come back in 2 weeks. Made her wait for additional tests becasue he said she needed Medicare approval - which was a lie. She had Part B & a good supplement. As you may have noticed, I am typed about my Mom in past tense.................she never made it back for the 2 week follow up. Tragically, she died of a massive heart attack due to HBP. Avoid this man like the plaque. Like the others have said, he is out for himself and cares little about the patient
It took 3 months to schedule a physical because "they take a lot of time".My physical took up 11 minutes of his time.He ignored a report from the doctor that reviewed an x-ray of my hip which indicated an absence of cartilage. He ignored a pre-cancerous growth on my forehead ,until I needed 8 stitches to have it removed.I have many other complaints, but I would sum it up by saying he is a lethal combination of arrogance and incompetence.
Dr. Krouse is more interested in what he is typing into the computer, interrupting the conversation you are trying to have with him, and now allowing you to complete the point you are trying to make. Very discouraging in the area of weight loss. Basically said that any exercise less than 60 minutes 5 times a week is a waste of time.
His nurses are the best. I can call whenever I need something and they always call back. All of them are such wonderful people and stellar examples of good medical staff that really care about the patients who they serve. I'm very blessed to have them taking care of me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
