List of Zofia Cygan's Reviews
Refused to admit my Mom to the hospital from another facility even though she was the on call doctor. My Mom had to be admitted to another hospital where none of her doctors were all because she couldn’t be inconvenienced. This set back my Mom’s care. Maybe you should think about the patient a little bit more than yourself!!!
Nice facility, convenient location, friendly staff. Most of all very professional service, I am glad to met doctor Cygan, after all very satisfied from visiting her office.
My family has been going to Dr. Cygan for many years- I have been seeing her since my childhood and I am currently in my mid-20's. She is honest, straight-forward, and always greets her patients with a warm smile. I love that she gives you the facts and does not beat around the bush. I would recommend Dr. Cygan to anyone in the Chicago-land area.
Dr Cygan treated my Mother in hospice; she probably figured no point in getting too involved as the outcome wasn't going to change. Fine. Real dissatisfaction came when dealing with insurance claims. Coverage for all of the meds Dr Cygan prescribed was denied due to missing information. Insurance carrier contacted Dr Cygan's office, as did I on several occasions, for missing info. But no response. As a result we are out of pocket on meds that should have been covered by insurance.
Dr treated my Mother as a terminal hospice patient in a facility. It was short term and I had limited interaction with Dr Cygan. However, when I tried to get assistance with insurance reimbursement for the medications prescribed by Dr Cygan, all of which were denied for invalid/non-existent coding, no exception provided for amounts prescribed in excess of standard quantity, etc. Insurance provider contacted Dr Cygan to request the missing information as did I on several occasions, but the doctor did not respond. As a result, we are out of pocket on drug costs that should have been covered by insurance. Since Dr Cygan probably assumes she will receive no further revenue from us, my Mother having passed away, she apparently further assumes no obligation to assist us with the insurance information needed.
I've only had positive experiences with Dr. Cygan.
I was referred to Dr. Cygan from my Wife's family. They have been seeing her for many years. I called to schedule an appointment and was taken in with ease. I really appreciated Dr. Cygans advice. She seems to have that old school Dr. feel. As if she still made house calls and didn't make you jump through hoops. If there is something you want, and she agrees, she'll do it.
While Dr. Cygan is a fine physician, and her receptionist seems like a very personable and courteous young lady, my family will find another physician due to Dr. Cygan's bookkeeper/office manager. My son has military insurance and there was a glitch in filing the claim so I immediately paid the bill out of pocket the same day as our visit. From that point, this "manager" ceased being of ANY assistance in filing the claim and all I received back in the mail was a claim form- no note, no explanation- nothing at all!! Rude and arrogant "manager"!
Dr. Cygan is a great doctor. She cares about her patients and very attentive. Her staff is ok. They are nice but they messed up my bills and my friends' bills so many times. I ended up having to pay for something that should have been covered by insurance because they made mistake on submitting the claims. I am considering switching doctor so I don't have to deal with all the bill headaches.
Dr. Cygan is a wonderful family doctor! She is caring, direct, and very accurate!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
