I give him a passing grade because right opposite to the previous reviewer, Dr. Sarmiento gave us a very impatient impression. Every time we see him, he seems to have tons of important things waiting for him and that he can only spend with us a couple of minutes.

The doctor is just OK. My son was seeing him since he was born, but he did not impress us. However, the Receptionist is very rude and does not help you at all. Will talk to you as if you are asking something out of her job scope. Overtime I go in, she has a different expression, very rude.

We are so lucky to have Dr. Sarmiento as our daughter's pediatrician. He is very caring and knowledgeable, and is patient in telling us how our daughter is doing. He enjoys answering our questions, and I can tell he really cares about our daughter's well-being. He does not just want to rush us out of the office. He is an exceptional physician.

I had Dr.shah as my kids PCP but I cnahged to dr.sarmeinto as I thought he was more knowledegable than her. dr.sarmeinto has been my kids pediatrician 6 yrs now.. He is very knowledable and I had no problems with him.Unfortunately, reading the previous comment made me sad. Def. a child should not have to go thru all the pain and suffering due to a mistake.

Dr. Sarmiento saw my daughter on a Tue. She has been very sick viral fever, cough…I had seen Dr. Shah a few days ago. But now her temp wasn’t going down. He said her chest seemed to be okay but take her for a blood test - 2 days later my 2 1/2 yr. old was in a lot of pain - called Dr. Shah around 10:00 pm - she said it must be antibiotics she should be okay. Fri she was screaming in pain – So we took her to the office - Still did'nt get the test results. Dr. Angoran told us to take her to the hospital right away. My daughter had advanced stage Pneumonia and her left lung was completely cloudy. ER Doc said he could'nt hear any breath sounds from her chest. She was put on oxygen at Good Sam and later moved to Hope children's Hospital. There she was in the ICU for almost 2 weeks. She had 2 Chest tubes, pic line and thorocotomy. My baby went thru hell. It was very hard to watch her go through that kind of pain. All these things could have been avoided if Dr. Sarmiento had ordered an X-ray.
