List of Paulo Bicalho's Reviews
Doctor Paulo is the best doctor ever. He takes all the time to talk to you, to explain the current situation and to recommend the right treatment for you. He is very knowledgeable in this field and he is always prompt to answer any question or doubt we might have. I strong recommend not only Doctor Paulo but also all the nurses that works with him. Thanks again Doctor Paulo for always be there when we need you.
Excellent Orthopedic Surgeon, very educated in his field, great bedside manner, listens to patients concerns, provides wonderful care, love Dr Bicalho wish all my physicians were like him. Had 2 knee's replaced, carpal tunnel and ulner nerve surgery and all came out great. I refer him to everyone.
Waitied more than hr before he came int the room he was in the others several times finall went to the desk where him and a nother person was sitting ask if it would bw much longer. FINALL 1:15 MINS HE CAME IN. WALKED OUT
We absolutely love Dr Bicahlo and his staff! The staff is always helpful and friendly-they make you feel as if you’re a part of the family. Dr Bicahlo has provided my wife (Jackie) and me with the best care. Jackie first saw Dr Bicahlo for a torn meniscus. While she was in the office he noticed her finger was swollen with infection from a dog bite. He immediately cleaned it and scheduled her for surgery the next morning. He later treated her other knee for a torn meniscus-both are doing great, as well as her finger! After the great care Jackie received I decided he would be my choice for possible knee replacements. His friendly staff helped me get in promptly and Dr Bicahlo knew as soon as he saw me that I definitely needed both knees replaced. He first removed a cyst on my shoulder along with arthritis and I can now raise my arm with no pain. Since COVID delayed all elective surgeries I had my first knee replacement as outpatient in December of 2020, the second replacement in March 2021. I can honestly say I wish I had had this done years ago. I can climb stairs/ladders and walk long distances without the pain I had before. Dr Bicahlo has given me back mobility that I’ve not had for close to 20 years. I highly recommend Dr Bicahlo - absolutely the best with the best staff!
He literally saved my life. Badly broken leg late in life he put me back together. Did a great job and though I will never be the ballet dancer I once dreamed of becoming I’m in better shape now than before the accident. His office staff is exceptional Alyssa Ruwe although not quite a doctor is spectacular as the Nurse Practitioner.
I heard that the doctor was great thru our medical doctor so she called to set us up. I got a call from the office yesterday morning for info. Little be background My husband needs a hip replacement very badly. His hip is bone on bone. We went to my orthopedic in Highland first because we all know how much trouble it is to find a new doctor. Bottom line is that Highland Hospital is small with no ICU for a problem IF one occurs. Having A Fib my husband is a mod risk so Highland couldn't do it there. I explained that to the person I was talking to and she cut me off and told me that Anderson had no ICU and so they couldn't do it either. I asked since when did they loose their ICU. She didn't say just said that they couldn't help us. After crying for 10 minutes. (I have cancer and my steroids sometimes gets to me) I called the Hospital to see when they lost their ICU. The lady informed me that they have a very competent ICU and was amazed that I was told that by Dr Bicolho's office. I called the office back and tolf the girl that answered what happened but I didn't know whom I had spoken to. She was very nice and all was okay until she put the first person back on. I explained I had called the hospital and they indeed had an ICU that was capable of taking care of him IF he needed it. She rudely told me that their office could not help us and we would be wasting their time and ours. I was so taken aback that I just said, Well you certainly would be wasting ours. Question for Dr. Bicolho. Who would you allow to tell a new patient a Blantant lie about no ICU, be rude to a new patient and apparently lose you business!! I am not blaming the Dr because I didn't get a chance to even see him or for him to evaluate my husband's condition himself or make his own opinion. I am sad to post this but I really hope that this didn't happen to someone else who didn't complain. This is a first for me but I have been upset all day and haven't slept much tonight cof thinking about this. It is off my chest now and I am confident we will find someone who will be willing to do my husband's surgery and get him back to his old self. Sincerely. Nancy Hall
By far the best in the area.
In my search for a good ortho doctor to ease the pain of both knees. I learned about Dr Bicalho and i found a great one. He always welcomes with a smile and has compassion for his patients.
Dr. Bicalho has done surgery on both my knee and my shoulder. The shoulder surgery was for a torn rotator cuff and over 7 years ago. Both knee and shoulder are doing great! I could not recommend a surgeon more than this very professional and easy to talk to physician.
Dr Bicalho is an excellent surgeon, and very personable. He is very concerned about his patients welfare. He injected my knee and hip for over a year until it was finally time to replace the knee. I was up and around in no time and have total movement of my new knee. He is an exemplary Surgeon and a real person.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
