Joel bronstein is TRANSPHOBIC and he violates the ILLINOIS HUMAN RIGHTS ACT OF 1979. I came in on the 11th of April for my consultation where I put down $550. I set a appointment for my bbl (men and women can get this surgery). They sent me a email with the labs. On the lab request from Joel Bronstien (a medical surgeon) he requested that I (a trans woman) get a pregnancy test as well as a psychologist evaluation for gender dysphoria so I called him on the 20th and raised my concerns of my human rights being taken advantage of. Mr.Bronstien insisted that this is something he is requesting and if I didn’t do it then the surgery wasn’t going to happen. Reluctantly I said fine I’d do the psychologist evaluation but I’m gonna remember how embarrassed and belittled I felt when I write my review on realself. Especially since I didn’t even need to get a psychologist evaluation when I got my hormones and my breast done and my federal state ID changed. They ended up canceling my appointment for the 24th of June via email with no context hours later. No body is returning my calls or trying to help me. They basically stole money from me and made me gain a bunch of weight for no reason If you want to be discriminated against and have your money stolen this is the place for you. Also why would a doctor ask a trans woman for a pregnancy test as well as a psychologist evaluation for gender dysphoria???? Shouldn’t he know I can’t get pregnant it seems like the only person dysphoric is Joel Bronstien If this is a public accommodation that men and women can get without psychological evaluation why am I required to get it? That’s why he is transphobic misleading and discriminatory.
