Ignite Medical Resort Mchenry's Online Review Report Card

I’ve had excellent care by Ignite. all of the people have been wonderful to me and they all seem extremely competent at their jobs. i would especially like to recognize Caitlin. i don’t think i’ve seen anyone as good at her job as she is. she has really helped me to make this transition.

My mother in law has had an extended stay at this facility. Most of her experience has been great. The last couple months especially, with the care from one of their newer CNA's, Rommel. He is so helpful, caring, and makes her feel safe. Even if he isn't working in her wing, he will go in to help the others assist in getting her in and out of bed, or just to say hello and see how she is. He truly cares about his patients, and it shows.

I didn't think I was going to walk again when I first came in, and now I am going home! I am very thankful!

My father stayed here recently for about 2 months. Overall, it is a very nice resort in terms of cleanliness/services/rehab efforts. My father was in between a hospital stay and a memory care facility and the care he received here seemed to be very good compared to other facilities.The reason I am not giving 5 stars is really about how clear they are with information and how they worked with myself and my family. The director was very attentive as dad was moved here, and promised all sorts of things. But once he was here, it seemed as though the attention was no longer given. The things that were promised were sort of/almost accurate, but sadly the ways that they were not accurate really impacted us and caused drama.The bright spot for us here was the person handling their transitions (helping bring the patient in and move them out), Erica. She was incredibly helpful and reliable. The information she gave us was accurate and it became clear that she was the one we should work with on anything we possibly could. She was kind and I genuinely appreciate her help.My overall advice then, if you are paying for this place yourself, be careful. Ask a lot of questions and try to get things in writing. If you can accomplish that, you (or your loved one) are likely to have a good experience here.

My mom has been at Ignite in McHenry since June. There are so many great CNA's there, but Rommel is amazing. He has done so much to help her. Marie at the front desk is also so helpful. She helped us to make my moms birthday special by setting up a special table in the dining room for us, making it pretty, with flowers. She goes the extra mile delivering frappes to her if I call to send her a special treat! Keep up the great work Marie and Rommel!

I just spent five weeks at ignite medical resort in McHenry My experience was great every person who helped me were great I am now up and around and feeling good thank you to all of you men and women for all your help

I just can’t say enough good things about this wonderful place! Everyone is thinking and acting with a “patient first” goal. My personal interaction with any staff member was beyond pleasant and totally satisfactory. I would recommend Ignite Medical Resort in McHenry first, foremost and only for you or your loved ones!

My 88 year mother was here for 31/2 weeks following surgery. I cannot say enough good things about the place. Everyone here puts the patients first. They go above and beyond. The patients feel welcomed and cared for always.The physical therapy is unmatched, intense, different and fun. The nurses work hard and always try to meet the needs of the patients, and they seem like they all are passionate about what they do. The director called and texted me to see how things were going on a regular basis.They even took my mom to her doctor appointment by medicar a half hour away.The rooms are beautiful, and come with fireplaces set in the wall and a nice big TV. The facility feels more like a fancy hotel. I highly recommend this place, and I have been a nurse for 35 years.

I am currently a patient at Ignite in McHenry. It is an amazing place. Wonderful management and staff...the RNs, CNAs, Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists are wonderful. They have an outstanding rehab department. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility. And it is a beautiful facility with other benefits too.
