List of Dr. Martin Gallo's Reviews
I have seen Dr. Gallo for many years. I followed him to Northwestern from Dupage Medical Group because I trust him so much with my care. He has a wonderful bedside manner, is always thorough in answering my questions, and makes me feel comfortable during my exams. Highly recommend.
I had to reschedule this appointment 2 times, because Dr. Martin R. Gallo, gynecologist, doesn't like to examine women on their period, and it was just a fluke that I had it both times. Today, my 2 year old and myself, drove 40 minutes to see Dr. Martin R. Gallo, and they would not let me into my appointment because I had my 2 year old with me. Some crap about since Covid, they don't let anyone in the room with the patient. Wait a minute, I'm not bringing an enterage, it's my 2 year old daughter and no one to watch her. Unbelievable, and YOUR DISGUSTING for now allowing my 2 year old daughter in the room with me. I hope no one goes to this jerk, and the office person who had to do his dirty work is no better. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

He's AT NORTHWESTERN MOKENA Ladies!!! Best GYN!!! Don't fool yourself he hasn't retired he's simply no longer in Downers Grove. Make sure and go see the best of the best in GYN! The new office at Northwestern, is beautiful. Can't recommend him enough.
Rude, and calls his patients fat. I'm 135 lbs and 5'9". Rude, and insulting coming from a guy who is chubby
I have been going to Dr. Gallo for 15 years. He’s amazing! Not only is he very professional but he’s caring, relaxed and just easy to talk to. His staff is great too!
I switched to Dr. Gallo (he came highly recommended) a couple of years ago after being dismissed by my previous ob/gyn after having breast cancer. While he does have a good bedside manner, I find him to be very pompous. I can deal with that as that can signal confidence in a doctor. I had post-menopausal bleeding, thickened endometrial lining and cysts or polyps and ended up having an hysteroscopy. He came in before the procedure and was his usual over confident self...fine. He said that he would call me with the biopsy results. After the procedure, he never came and talked to me. He talked to my husband and told him everything went fine and that he would call me with results. He never called me, which infuriates me. I had to look on My Chart for the results. Also, there is no plan going forward. What do I do with a thickened lining, what are the risks, etc. So, I fired him.
My experience with Dr. Gallo and his staff was horrendous. I was able to get an appointment the same day I called which was good because I was concerned with postmenopausal bleeding I was having. Saw Dr. Gallo, he performed an exam and said he would have to do a biopsy under light anesthesia because of a mass that he felt. He mentioned the word cancer to be and said that though it's rare he can't rule it out. He gave me the name of his surgery scheduler Elizabeth Kozel and said she would call to get this scheduled. It is one week later and two calls to his office and I still haven't spoken with the scheduler. I spoke with an employee at the office that was sympathetic when I explained that this was keeping me awake at night. I listened closley to the schedulers voice message and she said "please note that I will not be returning calls in a timely manner." So, there you go. That's the attitude that prevails. Do yourself a favor. Find another Dr.
Dr Gallo is awesome. He has a Great bed side manor. He is straight and to the point. He is very caring and I would highly recommend him.
I find going to the doctor so stressful, especially at GYN. Finding Dr. Gallo was a miracle. He is honest, kind, patient and a great listener. He always informs you about medication and asks your opinion rather than solely handing it over; he wants to make sure you are comfortable with your care. I honestly look forward to appointments with him because I know I will feel welcome and not judged.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
