List of Ahmed Okba's Reviews
When my wife and I lived in Indiana about 20 years ago, Dr. Okba was my primary care provider. His genuine warmth and strength of integrity have remained with me today. He was the epitome of what a primary care provider should be. I would go out of my way to see him if I were within driving distance. After, he goes out of his way for his patients as well.
He is understanding. Great personality. Listens and is very thorough.
I had to start seeing Dr. Okba because my primary care provider retired. My first visit with him was very good and he appeared to be kind and careful. After that visit, I felt very optimistic. That was until I had a visit the day after I was sick from work. I figured since I'll be going in to see him literally the next day, that calling for a doctor's note that day wasn't necessary and I'd just ask him for a note at my appointment. Boy was I wrong. There was a doctor in training or shadowing him at my appointment when I asked for a doctor's note. With her next to him, he became visibly and audibly so angry with me that I actually started panicking and crying because I was scared at how mad he got. I could see the girl with him trying to maintain her cool as he was berating me while Im becoming visibly emotional. He made me feel so humiliated and embarrassed for asking for a note! He wrote it and said "Here's your note so you don't get fired. Do not ever do this to me again." First of all, I didn't NEED the note. I just asked. A simple No, Sorry would be ok. It felt as if he felt pride in shaming me and making me feel like an absolute POS. He had to walk to the front with me because the note printed up there, all while I was visibly crying. At this point he didn't even look at me or ask what was wrong and neither did his nurses/staff. It was so cold. I had to go back one time after that because I needed a refill on my prescription and it was so uncomfortable for me. I already have anxiety and depression. You'd think him of all people who knows that would know how to NOT make someone feel so bad. His behavior was so disproportionate and unnecessary. I hope he doesnt treat other patients like this. I finally switched doctors after he wouldn't fill my scripts I've been taking for years unless I came in for an appointment. I took me so long because my anxiety is pretty intense. Looking forward to a new doctor.
Great Dr and office staff. Cares about patients, follow up. Easy to schedule/reschedule. Takes each patient as a person, not as a number. Only Dr that I trust in qc
Amazing doctor and staff who truly care!
Great service by Dr and office staff. Responds on messages in timely manner. Easy to schedule/reschedule app. Does follow up with patients needs
the best dr. i've had in my 75 years of existence. very knowledgeable and caring, and his patient's well being is his primary concern. His staff is the best i've encountered. a special shout out to jenny ( what a nurse) and jasmine!
Great doc.Really listens to what you say. Tells you what you need to hear. Based on his people skills combined with his medical background and experience, I’m glad I chose him for my family physician.
Always reliable and straight forward
This doctor is NOT trustworthyl! His ego is through the roof. Is not personable and Jenny is no better. Very dissappointed in his mannerism. Doesn't follow through with medication refills. Why he has 5 stars is unbelievable! For some unheard reason Unity Point Hospital and Unity Point Medical Arts DO NOT SHARE INFORMATION AUTOMATICALLY when you have anything done in the ER or elsewhere in hospital. Very antiquated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
