Very caring and gifted doctor. I have had several difficult pregnancies and deliveries and I was always in great care under her calmness, knowledge and experience.

Dr. Karla has delivered 3 of my babies. She is knowledgeable, kind, and has helped me through a couple challenging pregnancies. Her office staff is friendly, too.

I love love love Dr. Vankeulen (Dr. Polaschek). She’s an amazing Doctor, respectful of wishes and any concerns or questions you have! Unfortunately her front desk staff (one gal in particular) is incredibly unfriendly. Makes the office feel a little unaccepting but I promise Dr. Vankeulen makes up for their lack of compassion.

After moving here from Las Vegas, Nevada, I needed to find a doctor to help me make the decision at 49 if a hysterectomy was the right choice for me ! I’ve had endometriosis that’s been both painful and along with heavy periods that at times lasted almost 2 weeks , she had convinced me this was the correct decision. In October of 2021, she performed my surgery at the Trinity Moline hospital! She was wonderful and it turned out my uterus was 4 times the normal size and 4 years prior my doctor in Las Vegas had left a piece of metal inside while tying my tubes . Operation was a success. However recovery was a much longer road than I was told or expected. I’ve always been VERY ACTIVE , but after this surgery it DID take its toll on me . Be sure and read up before you make this decision! She’s a wonderful doctor and she will take her time to talk to you . However I would still make sure you read up before making this huge decision. It’s put me into menopause early and it’s been quite tougher with sleep and energy. Taking the estrogen supplements daily have made my night sweats 80% better !

Karla was an absolute blessing to my family. She took me on later in my pregnancy and helped me have a successful vbac with an 8lb 9.6oz baby! She let's you be the boss of your labor and listens to you! Couldn't ask for a better doctor!

Kept waiting until the day before ultrasound to call and tell me they'd have to reschedule it with advanced radiology because I was only able to pay $50 of the $100 they requested per month. My daughter ended up having multiple Vsd's, brain bleed, was born 6 weeks prematurely and spent 10 weeks in NICU. Thank God osf in Peoria stepped in because I would have never known any of this if it weren't for them. After birth I bled for 3 months straight and they scheduled me for an ultrasound and once again called the day before to cancel and reschedule with someone else. Although my deductible and max out of pocket had been reached so it would have been 100% covered by ins..At this point I told them to stop the auto pay from my acct and told them to send me a bill and I send a check. Instead of a bill I got a letter saying they were no longer able to care for me and that I needed to find a new dr...the next thing I got was a call from a collection agency although I hadn't missed a payment!!!

Authentic, whole person care by a team that is really willing to listen, establish a medical history and go out if the box to help me feel better. I would not go anywhere else!

Very rude group/doctor!! Office is gossip city and Dr. P doesnt care about your feelings or concerns at all. Go somewhere else dont waste your time.

Rating is solely influenced by the way I was treated by the office staff. I was asked to start making monthly OB cost payments before the doctor had even seen me. I tried to explain my HSA, fear of overpaying due to being high risk and having many tests prior to delivery - they did not care - wanted me to overpay my ded. to be reimbursed later. When lost the fight, I switched Drs. I was charged $224 for a fifteen minute phone call with the nurse. And I was told that they couldn't bill per appt!
