I recently was seen and treated by Dr Tek for kidney stones. This was my first time having stones, so Dr Tek guided me through the entire process of Lithotripsy. The operation was a success. So happy I saw Dr Tek and was very impressed by how personable and caring he was.

Dr. Tek is an outstanding doctor. He is my third urologist. Thanks to him, he was the one who figured out what my problem was. The other two doctors misdiagnosed me, the second one caused me to go the the ER by ambulance and was admitted for several days and had a blood transfusion due to loss of blood from a procedure the second urologist did and who ignored my concerns about the severe bleeding that went on for six weeks. It was in the hospital that I met Dr. Tek. I loved his bedside manner, he was very interested and knowledgeable in helping me. I followed up with him, he suggested a procedure that he felt should help me, I expected to be laid up for a week or two. Within 2 days of the procedure I was just fine, the problem he was treating me for was already improving. I look forward to a very positive outcome. Dr. Tek is a very friendly, understanding, compassionate, & knowledgable doctor with a great bedside manner. I would strongly recommend him.

I've been seeing Dr. Tek for over 4 years now. I never feel rushed, and he always answers my questions and addresses my concerns. Everything is always laid out for me to understand, and when an issue arises, he and his team are quick to address it. Also, his nurse Hannah is downright amazing. She seems to really care about the patients, always wearing a smile and is INCREDIBLE on getting things done. Anyone gives you issues with prescriptions, Hannah will bust some heads! She's always fun to talk to, filled with info and never makes me feel like I'm wasting her time. And, I know these ladies rarely get reviewed, but the magnificent women in the blood draw corner should be certified as ninjas. As someone who is uncomfortable with needles, blood draws are not something I look forward to. But these ladies are smooth and masters at what they do! Quick and painless every time and always quick with a laugh. Thank you to everyone in the office for the years of looking after my health.

Cocky, brash, unprofessional

Insisted on doing an unecessary procedure (kidney stone blasting with shock waves) during the midst of the COVID outbreak even though stone was not blocking or causing any problems and CDC said no surgeries of this type should be done. VERY RISKY AND UNPROFESSIONAL

Money hungry, brought my father, recommended unnecessary procedures and surgery for a stone that was NONOBSTUCTING and “punctate” as outlined on the radiology report. Complications ensued, his partners were of no help. Quickly transferred dads care to another urologist at Palos where he received more compassionate and sensible care. Stay away
