I just had a egd with biopsies at crossroads hospital. The staff was very professional, friendly and efficient. I was in and out in 2 hours. I would definitely recommend their same day surgery department. It was a very good experience.

I can't say enough good things about the surgery department and Dr Mukerji. Had upper and lower scopes done today and the care, friendliness and attentiveness of everyone involved was more than I could have asked for. It didn't go in unnoticed or unappreciated. Great doctors. Grea staff. I went for emergency gallbladder surgery and they were so efficient I didn't even have a chance to get afraid! Dr Miller is phenomenal and Dr. Hipskind is a breath of fresh air.Just a small hospital providing top quality care.

Since Deaconess took over it’s been a nightmare to pay bills/insurance claims… call every month and suddenly I can’t make a payment because that not my birthday!!! Omg get it together… it’s a monthly call and they still can’t get it right 🤪🤷♂️😡

This is the best and most efficient ER visit that I have EVER had period. Especially in Southern Illinois. I grew up in Carbondale and had to visit the hospital frequently due to my chronic pain condition. The local hospital was fine for pediatric services, but my care dwindled severely as an adult. Had I known about this place 10 years ago, I would have; without hesitation, driven 45 miles in excruciating pain to receive the exceptionally high quality care that I have received here. The doctor I had was so knowledgeable and willing to explain everything to me regarding my condition and her care plan. She willingly stated that my illness was not her expertise. She then actively sought guidance from the experts by reaching out to my specialist at a major hospital in Missouri. Her commitment to ensuring that she was providing me the best care possible was so refreshing. She believed me when I told her my symptoms and did not hesitate to start my treatment plan. The nurses there were so patient and accommodating. They were willing to learn and admit when they needed help, in an effort to save me from experiencing any unnecessary discomfort. My nurse worked very hard to ensure that I was comfortable and pain free. She was kind and patient and frequently used the words “I’ll try” instead of “No”. I couldn’t have designed a better place myself to treat my pain crisis and keep an eye on my unborn child in the process. I will ALWAYS come here before I go anywhere else in Southern Illinois. I recommend you do as well.
