very ignorant. I will never see her as my doctor.
Dr Nowak treated me for severe abdominal pain in the ER at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. I only saw Dr Nowak once, at the beginning of my entire 4 hours in the ER. The nurses, NOT Dr. Nowak, came in and communicated what was going on during my entire stay. Even when I was told I'd need to get a CT scan, and I asked why I was getting it, Dr Nowak didn't show up at all. When I left the hospital, Dr Nowak again didn't show up to tell me what happened to me. Instead, I got a couple sentences on a sheet of paper that said "severe abdominal pain". It seemed like Dr Nowak didn't care at all about what was happening to me, and honestly, I think she just had me take a CT scan to make more money (it cost $7,000). It seemed unnecessary at the time, and even more unnecessary in hindsight, since it seemed like I just had a severe case of food poisoning (again, Dr Nowak didn't clearly tell me what happened to me, so to this day, I have no idea what the actual cause of my abdominal pain was). Overall, a terrible experience.
The doctor was great, very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful during my visit to ER at Borgess Medical Center on Gull Rd. She was very polite, very prompt, and answered all of my questions, regarding my severe stomach pains. ER doctors oftentimes do not follow up with patients after the visit- they are NOT someone's personal primary physicians- people shoud realize that.
I wouldn't let this doctor treat a hangnail. She sent me home with blood poisoning and told me to take a tylenol and drink some fluids.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
