List of Amy L. Stoeffler Md's Reviews
She was nice and listened to what I had to say and I appreciate that. The nurses there are awesome and I'm glad I chose her.
Very uncaring, dismissive, rude and cold. I cried in my car after my appointment. Told me I must just be experiencing “normal pain” what is normal pain?! Also didn’t care at all that she was hurting me.
Her bedside manner is not caring at all. I asked, questions on side effects of a medication she was giving me. She said, it did not have the certain side effects that I asked her about. I went and looked it up, and it had several or if not a lot more that I definitely did not need. Also, I have a history of something personal and that is why I went to a female doctor, and she seemed to disregard it, and she was very abrupt and non sensitive to my situation. I am very truly disgusted with the way I was treated. I guess my insurance was not good enough for her.

Dr. Stoeffler had always given me excellent care. My daughter also goes there and she likes Dr. Stoeffler as well.
Very compassionate and caring. Explained things really well. Made me feel at ease.
I would like to preface this by saying I’ve never left a review for any poor experience in my life. My wife is pregnant and we’ve had numerous bad experiences with OBs and their nurses at Edward Hospital. Everything we’ve learned about pregnancy has had to be through our own research, the OBs have given us very little information throughout. All 3 times we called with concerns regarding the pregnancy, we were treated terribly and basically dismissed. As for Dr Stoeffler specifically, she had incredibly bad bedside manner, lacked empathy, couldn’t answer questions, and caused undue pain. For cervical exams, she was extremely rough and inferred it would be very unpleasant beforehand. My wife had two other OBs perform cervical exams which were much less painful as they were much more gentle. When we called at 1 am because we weren’t sure if her water broke, her answer after we explained the situation and a long pause was “I don’t know what to tell you”.
I have been seeing Dr. Stoeffler for several years. I find her very personable, compassionate, and good at what she does. I highly recommend her!
After a few visits with Dr. Stoeffler I switched doctors. During my first pelvic exam at 18, she stuck the speculum in and cranked it open without any warning, and since I was not prepared, it was excruciatingly painful. She seemed to not care that I was nearly in tears. I am scared every time I get a pelvic exam now because of that experience. The next time I saw her was for a pain problem. She acted like I was wasting her time and was very insensitive. She did not offer any solutions that I had not already tried and I left feeling very frustrated. I ended up having to do my own research on my symptoms (Which you would think would be the doctor's job) and brought what I found to another doctor, who immediately diagnosed me with interstitial cystitis and performed surgery soon after. IC is not an uncommon female problem so I got the impression that she just did not care enough to look into it more, which meant that I spent several more weeks in pain that could have been avoided.
Dr. Stoeffler gets to the point when explaining any issues a person might have. She is very professional.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
