List of Brian Murphy's Reviews
Excellent!!! Very impressed with our entire experience with Dr. Brian Murphy and his staff. Great people, easy to schedule and follow up with, quick response time, convenient to schedule with and top notch care by all staff and clinical team!
Dr. Murphy took the time to answer all of my questions and thoroughly explained all of my options. He was really nice and extremely knowledgeable!! Today was my 1st visit and will be back for my procedure. The nursing staff was absolutely great!
Hi please do not listen to the 3 reviews that have 5 stars, I was referred to this doctor by Dr Sanders as he said my case was complicated, I arrived to see doctor, barely talked i will ask questions and won't be answered he said he needed to give me a Cortizone shot to see if my condition was from my nerve or tendon, I was skeptical about the shot because of my faith and all I have learn about shots, they won't even answer as I was communicating by my chart online, finally I got a message from the doctor and in a rude way they will say than is nothing we can do, really with the technology these days? I wrote a review about the doctor in yelp and even said I am sure because I am Hispanic he don't want to do nothing, this was to reopen workers insurance, my condition has worsened and I have prove even by the own doctor, he sent me to do nerve testing and since I had my case back in 2003 they found damaged on my right arm by the elbow, but because this is workers compensation, he won't move a finger, he said yes it came out abnormal, please just say it is damage, what a nerve can be abnormal if is not damage? He never answered the questions he went around the bush, he needed to give a report to workers compensation letting them know my condition, workers compensation wrote a letter that they denied reopening of my case because the doctor didn't sent complete report things were missing, now they are charging me when all this was from start workers compensation, I will not pay a penny thanks to this doctor now I can't have physical therapy that he knows will help my condition, and my mobility and treatment for the nerve, now they are charging me knowing I can't work and only my husband is with all the bills, if they continue charging me I will take the doctor to court as I have all the proof that this was to reopen a workers compensation case and his negligence caused me to be denied, please do not go to this doctor he has no compassion and because I am Hispanic he didn't want to help. But I am a legal citizen with all the rights as any native born in Unites States I am not illegal. Worse doctor I have been to, and believed me after 8 surgeries and years of Physical Therapy I know doctors.
I had two problems that Dr. Murphy took care of in one visit. Very nice and professional.
My experience with this doctor has been very stressful. I had an oblique fracture on the shaft of the fourth metacarpal. Surgery was my only option if I wanted to keep from losing range of motion. Brian Murphy on my initial appointment was very brief and doesn’t explain the process very well. He forgot to prescribe me my pain medications and I had to call his office back and get it situated. His PA that works alongside of him prescribed them for me. I figured let’s just go through surgery and get the process moving along quicker because I didn’t want to waste time. Post surgery my hand was in a lot of pain and I was told to call the office if I had any discomfort... I called the office and got a message back saying that I need to wait until my post op appointment which was after Christmas. They said the doc told me to take Aleve and just ice my hand. So I did and I waited until my post op appointment. Post op which was a week after surgery he takes my temporary wrap off and says that he wants to put an unstable brace on my hand. I expressed that it had only been a week and it doesn’t feel stable it’s still in a lot of pain and it was still swollen. I asked, What if I hit my hand? His exact words were “ I think that’s all just mental” he said that it wouldn’t happen. And that I need to start moving my hand right away. But yet he contradicts himself by saying it takes bones 6 weeks to heal. So you’re telling me that it’s not necessary to stabilize your hand until it heals? He told me that he wanted me to do my own physical therapy on my hand? Doesn’t tell me how or what to do. And tells me that we’ll see later down the line if you need physical therapy? Are you kidding me? I had to aggressively ask for physical therapy before he even agreed to give it to me. Then when the nurse came in to put the splint on my hand I expressed that my hand just doesn’t feel stable and that it had only been one week she was concerned and asked the doctor what to do. At this point dr Murphy was irritable and abruptly came in to the office sat down and explained was he had already previously explained. I told him again that my fingers are completely exposed and that a hand brace is not going to give it stability. So he took to adhesive bands and tied my fingers together and said well that should help and handed me the brace and told me to put it on myself. I asked if the nurse was going to put it on and he said it’s pretty easy and I can do it myself. Wow I have never dealt with such an inconsiderate doctor. At that point I was just livid but didn’t make a scene. I have contacted the supervisor and will be reporting the incident.
Dr. Murphy was my 2nd opinion and I'm so glad I went to st him. He was excellent.. having my 2nd hand done..

Waited 45 minutes then his nurse was rude and never apologized. They don't care about your time at all!
Office staff is terrible. I waited over 45 minutes with no explanation, then the nurse was flat out rude. I walked out, will not see a doctor with a staff like that.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
