List of Daniel Debartolo Md's Reviews
I have been a patient with Dr DeBartolo for many years. He has always been thorough and professonal. In addition he is caring, kind and spends time with you.
Dr Daniel DeBartolo, is the Best Eye Dr.. Very Kind..to me..I think He.. worked with me on a Pricing.. .....THO his whole staff has been nothing but Rude to me! They haven't got a clue about sick ppl. Or even nice on the phone. Im Trying To get a simple letter sent to me when I had my eye operation. CHRIS KAMINSAK. TELL ME NO , I can't do that???? To find out , all she is , is a worker answering p Instead of saying I'll have them call you back..smh plus more..so sorry, I like my Doctor??? Smh
Think twice before you trust your eyes to Dr. DeBartolo. My first cataract eye surgery was a nightmare. The promised anesthesia wasn't there, nor was the anesthesiologist apparent in the surgical room. When I felt the first sharp pain in my right eye, my reflex was to jump. Dr. DeBartolo yelled at me to "stop moving and to look at the light". It happened the second time, the third, and the fourth and with each jump on my part, the doctor became more irate. His temper flared once again when this eye had to be lasered three months later. A lens was pushed into my eye, I was ordered to look up at the ceiling and my reflexes kicked in once again. I jumped and he displayed extreme anger as he slapped his hands on the little table that held the machine and made the little eyedrop bottles dance. He yelled, "that's it, I can't work like this, it's over." He flew off his chair and walked around the room for a few seconds and came back to finish the procedure, with extra eyedrops. I warned the tech of my jumpy reflexes - twice - and I informed Dr. DeBartolo about this problem when he came into the room. No one seemed to listen and that scenario was the outcome. If I could rewind, I would have sought the services of a different ophthalmologist but I continued with him. I cancelled my last follow up appointment and will never step foot into Naperville Eye Associates again.
Dr. Debartolo is the best opthalmologist I have ever seen. He performed cataract surgery on one eye in 2016...it went amazingly well. I'm going back for the other eye. Looking forward to seeing him again..personable and very knowledgeable...he's terrific...
This has been one of the worse experiences I can remember. Their eye exam was the worse I ever had. The glasses I purchased using their script had to be done over by another. Having gone about a month of not seeing out of one eye I went back and complained they did nothing. If that want bad enough they charged me $182 dollars and thru bad record keeping they kept sending me threatening letters even that they were to send me to a collection agency. Never again
Went for my annual appointment. Staff was wonderful, but wait time was over 30 minutes. Dr came in and spent less than 5 minutes and was chewing gum. Will be looking for new Dr.
We have been going to Dr. DeBartolo for over 20 years and have had great faith in him. My husband has had several surgeries with Dr. Debartolo and in each case he explained everything, including the risks, and was there even at 10pm when we had questions. He even refused to do Lasik on me because of my dry eyes. A doctor refusing to do surgery even though he'd personally lose money? That's ethical. Have recommended him several times.
Dr DeBartolo missed a serious condition my friend had and then wouldn't even return her calls afterwards. What an uncaring jerk! Don't let anyone you care about see him!
He is a very good doctor. He is very knowledgeable and explains well about my pyogenic granuloma symptom. I highly recommend him for eye related issues. The drawback is hard to make an appointment to see him "soon" because he is booked solid (good doctor!).
Dr. Debartolo has a wonderful bed side manner, and is generally concerned about his patients, along with providing excellent care and his office staff are very pleasant and very helpful. I refer many of our pediatric patients to his office as well as family. I highly receommended him for the whole family.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
