As a person terrified of anesthesia, I presented for breast surgery extremely anxious. This anesthesiologist knew my health history well and took time to answer all my questions, even the anxious ones like what if I never wake up? He explained everything in detail and made sure I was comfortable with what would happen to me. I woke up with no complications except tiredness. I’d trust this anesthesiologist if I ever need surgery again.
I’m terrified of anesthesia but he calmed my nerves in a clear, professional manner. I felt confident that he knew my full health history upon speaking with me and answered all my questions. I am so thankful he was the anesthesiologist present for my breast surgery!
He disrespected my wishes and the signed consent form. We talked and agreed to only using Propofol with General Anesthesia. He had left orders (I found out the following week) for a Nurse named Tina to "give me something to relax me" right before I was taken to the OR. This drug started working immediately and by the time got to OR I was knocked out and I woke up almost 3 hours later with no memory of PACU, recovery or anything other than fragmented memories. This was all for a 15 minute procedure in an operating room . This "relax drug" was never discussed with me . I told the girl four times I did not want it. It was given against my wishes. I found out days later I was given a amnesia drug called Versed with four different pain meds and propofol. I still have adverse reaction from Versed (Google it) and it's been over two months. He out right lied to me. Doctors like to give patients Versed for procedures because this makes the patient very compliant. He can command them to do anything or say anything and most have absolutely no memory to any of it. This is very disrespectful to any patient to be treated in this manner, it's no different than a date R*** drug. I tried to call Dr.Bergquist and he never returned my calls I desperately needed answers so I can try and get past all that was done to me. I sent a letter to Patient Relations at AGS hospital and instead of helping me Jeanne tried to convince me I was wrong and nothing happened . This is how they get their high ratings. They don't want negative comments on what they do. Their refusal to deny & ignore shows their guilt. I would not recommend nor trust Dr.Bergquist or the hospital to a friend or enemy.

Dr. Bergquist explained everything thoroughly and he did an excellent job. I had a spinal along with being put to sleep for my hip replacement so I would not be aware of anything which occurred during the operation.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
