I am telling my experience: I went for $0 co-pay physical but he not sure why they say it was an office visit too and is charging my insurance for a physical and an office visit and asking me to pay copay for the office visit. They keep sending me random referral for treatment and then follow-ups on them. He is treating on his own for things I never asked/agreed to and his office is still asking me to pay for it. I am also not sure if he was focused and thorough in doing my physical.

Dr. Rusthoven is in our opinion the best Radiation Oncologist in NC. He has stayed on top of his Merkel Cell Carcinoma removal site with radiation and tests and lymph nodes plus running tests every few weeks on the movement of his CLL. We could not be any more pleased with our selection as Dr Rusthoven as his radiation oncologist.

I'm very happy with Dr. Rustoven. He's been my GP for more than a decade. He doesn't "baby" his patients or do a lot of hand-holding. He's efficient. I am in my 40s, relatively healthy, and typically visit the doctor 1-3 times per year, including my annual physical. I'm always in and out of my appointments quickly. He answers all of my questions but does not take any more time than is necessary. I use MyChart and am fairly self-sufficient in my healthcare. I also have specialists I visit, and they are more thorough and detailed, but Dr. Rustoven is great as my GP. If you appreciate an efficient doctor and don't need much attention, he would be a great fit.

The type of doctor you don't want to visit. Comes in, disregard anything you say or try to explain to him about your issues. Provides his conclusion, writes you a bunch of medicine and walks out. Does not communicate, ask questions, or listen to what you have to say when explaining what's wrong with you. Just goes off with what you briefly explain to the nurse and runs with it with full conviction.

Really don’t understand the bad review... dr. Rusthoven has been my GP for 15 years. He’s always quick. Meaning I don’t have to be in the waiting room too long. If there’s been a problem with prescriptions it’s corrected in 24 hours. And when I had a dental problem and the dentist was on vacation they went WAY out of their way to help me.

I have been going to Dr. Rusthoven for many years. He has kept my blood pressure in check foe years with proper medication. Very thorough , and friendly. He recommended an excellent Urologist to check out and treat my problem.
